Q: How big around is the inside of the hat? How is the breathability?

I don't know the measurement, but it fits nicely because it is s knit. Due to the fact that it is a crocheted hat, it's breathable. I would recommend it.

Q: Will it be damaged if it gets wet?

My Hat did not get wet from rain or swimming but it was very hot in Mexico when I wore it. So it was soaking wet from perspiration around the crown, but it did not affect the quality of hat’s material. Maybe you could use a water repellent.
