This book from Serena Williams is about her daughter Baby Girl, and the doll known as Qai Qai that serves as a supportive and encouraging friend. Baby Girl is nervous about an upcoming dance recital, but her favorite doll comes to life and give her some inspirational words to calm her down.It is a short book, with less than 40 pages, filled with colorful images of Baby Girl and Qai Qai dancing around together. The book has a positive message, and it is probably best for reading to younger kids that aren’t quite ready to read yet themselves. The little ones we read this to thought it was “just OK”.I appreciate Williams making a book for children, as she is already an amazing and inspirational athlete, and now she can reach even more kids to encourage them to pursue their dreams.

The way this is written holds the child’s attention. The illustrations are colorful and eye catching. A wonderful book. I bought this for my 2 year old granddaughter.
