They do their intended job, I just wish the charcoal filter was a bit thicker to hold more of it. I have a lot of dogs that drink from it and they say to replace it every 3 week, I’m lucky if I can go 2 weeks with one.

I have been using this fountain for about a year now, and I love it! I actually use it for the cats and replacement filter cartridges are a must! My household caters to 3 felines, 2 of which are religious users of the fountain. Also, the 2 year old likes to play in it when he gets a chance so I definitely feel better knowing that the water is as clean as I can keep it realistically.I replace the carbon cartridge about every 2 months, rinsing it every week when I clean the fountain completely. Carbon lifespan depends on the amount and quality of water pushed through it (you learn this if you are a fish tank hobbyist), therefore, I only fill the dome about half-way to make the carbon not have to pull as much out of the water. Doing this and a very thorough cleaning of the fountain, the filters seem to be effective longer than one might expect. If I was filling the dome completely full every week, I would change the cartridge every month.This is an absolutely fabulous price for two replacement carbon cartridges, thanks Amazon!

These filters are easy to replace and do the job, easy to replace and I've had the water fountain for over 17 years.

I love this product! I have a German shepherd and was tired of filling up the water bowl every few hours. With this product it's once every few days! I love that it filters out hair and dirt. It says to replace filter every couple weeks but I just rinse the filter off with water and get any hair out and reuse it. Works like a charm. The only complaint I had was when I first received it, the bottom was leaking. I think due to the shipping. Once I found the area that was cracked I used a water tight sealant and it's been working perfect every since. I would recommend this to any pet owner!!

After months of use still really like this product. Be sure to line up the port out of the pump with the column in the water container. The full water container is VERY heavy. My son helps with carrying it from sink to watering location. Sti have one very jittery dog that is scared of the occasional gurgles the water makes. The other dog and cats love it. Totally stopped the cat from her splashing. Dogs still dribble, but that can't be helped. Only have to fill it once to twice a week!

I needed new filter cartridges to use in the Dogit fountain I have for my cats... yes, I have a Dogit fountain for my cats. LOLThis is a great set of three replacement filters. I recently moved and wanted to clean out the fountain and replace all of the filters and pads and things, so I ordered these. The price was right, shipping was great, and I even have two cartridges to spare for the next time I notice that it's dirty beyond the help of a good rinse. These are great to help filter the water so my cats aren't getting food particles and who-knows-what-else in their water.

We have three dogs who seem to be constantly running and playing, hence constantly drinking water. We must fill our fountain 4-5 days of a seven day week. We go thru filters like they go thru water. Don't try using the fountain without one. The fountain will still work, but the purpose is wasted. The dog water creates a film on the fountain and the pump becomes full of gunk. It only took us a few days from thinking we could go without to the time of ordering and receiving it to realize just how important the filter is, and how much of a difference it does make. Our dog fountain is back up and going strong.
