Sailor Moon Crystal Set 2 (DVD)

Seeing I had Viz Media dub of seasons 1 & 3, it only makes sense I get Season 2 Viz Dub

My daughter loves anything Sailor Moon so this was a big hit with her

I love the 2nd season of Sailor Moon Crystal (R arc) I feel like it improves in quality & animation compared to the 1st season of Sailor Moon crystal. This definitely follows the storyline of the manga version more closely than the original '93 anime ver. I did watch all of SMC on Hulu before purchasing this so I knew what I was getting myself into beforehand (which I definitely enjoyed by the way!) I purchased the DVD version when I was originally wanting to purchase the special edition Blu-Ray version (store didn't carry it so I purchased the DVD version for now instead but I do plan on getting the special edition BR ver asap!) It contains 12 episodes on 2 discs & I really liked the packaging for this release which was holographic like the season 1 DVD set was (mainly on the front of the slip cover) so when you move it around under light you can see it shine & sparkle, lol :-p Here are some pics of it by the way! Overall I highly recommend getting this series (so far the first 2 seasons are out on DVD/Blu-Ray) and the 3rd season should be out soon on DVD/Blu but is on Hulu right now, Which by the way is amazing so check it out if you can! ^_^

I thoroughly loved that they redid the Sailor Moon series, that they followed the manga more closely, and that the artwork is closer to the manga... That being said... What in the heck is up with the animation? In 2015 this animation should have been incredible, instead, especially during the transformation sequences, it's downright bad 90's cartoonish. For the most part, I could ignore this, due to my love of Sailor Moon and the nostalgia it brought back. But I absolutely could not watch the transformations because that's where it became over the top bad.

Great series

I am annoyed with Amazon's prime set up. Why can I not play episode 1 from the beginning until I stop the auto replay of the next episode & let the 1st episode play to the end?! This is annoying, and not user friendly. Please fix.The content is fantastic. Please fix or I will go back to dvds or another service.

I wish Viz did a better job with the quality of the original anime. The quality is nice. The images are crisp and so is the audio. I prefer to watch this in Japanese because I prefer the original voice actors from the 90s dub. I find the only a few voices to be pleasant. Usagi and Chibiusa's voices are so grating in this dub. Mamoru and Artemis and Minako have okay voices. Makoto's voice is very generic and so is Naru's voice.

The second and final season of the English dub of Sailor Moon Crystal is pretty fun. It has a much bigger rogues gallery than the first season (though Esmeraude's role is minimized from the original, as are the Specter Sisters). If you liked Season 1, definitely get Season 2.

I love Sailor Moon Crystal. I totally binged watched the whole thing in one night. The voice acting is great. The plot flows the original manga very well. The updated art style is visually stunning.

AN AMAZING UPGRADE TO THE ORIGINAL. The animation is spectacular and the story is more condensed. Love it.

My only complaint is that it's over too quickly. I want more.
