Great Resource
You won't go wrong with any of Jordan's resources. I have read most of them and all are scholarly, lucid, comprehensive, cogent, and confessional.

This book is not just for pastors or theologians. As a layperson, I have always only understood the Law as something to be feared and something that existed in contradistinction to the Gospel. I subsequently always had a negative view of it and it surely was not a source of joy. This book was a breath of fresh air because it explained in detail how the Law is good and how it should play a positive role in a Christian's everyday life. The beauty of God's Law comes alive when someone can clearly explain all of its functions and its nature. A Christian with an understanding of both the Gospel and the Law will be blessed indeed.

A Guide for Navigating Radical Lutheranism
Very clear and thorough. It won't convince any Radical Lutherans, but it will be helpful for anyone who is curiously confused. When you hear folks talking from such a divergent set of definitions and assumptions, it's helpful to have a guide.

A thorough and essential examination.
A well-written book that analyzes and evaluates Forde's theology in a fair but scriptural manner. For Lutherans, this book is a must-read.

Shallow...
This rating is due, in large part, to the abysmally impoverished depth of this study. This purports to be an academic work. However, it is apparent that the author has little or no real acquaintance with the history of the philosophy he is ready to critique (or even, for that matter, to condone). This is only surpassed by the miserable lack of charity displayed in the interpretations of his interlocutors.
