What do you connect the electric to?

The electric is connected between either the + side of the pump and the power source or the - side of the pump and power source. I connected mine between the + side and the power source with a 3.5 amp inline fuse. The instructions that come with it aren't perfect but they do a decent job of walking you through the electrical connections.
