Meinl Percussion DCAP-L Large Djembe Cap, Black

Meinle Djembe Cap arrived yesterday didn't open until tonight after practicing, so excited as I didn't expect it would take almost a month to arrive!Those who have Meinl percussion instruments won't be suprised that the cap was excellently made. Top quality!When I ordered I looked at the product description and saw that it had 13 inch as the dimension, knowing that was the one for a 12 inch Meinl djembe I ordered it.I was challanged when I tried to put it over my djembe, tried a couple of ways and realized if I did get it over the drum head and float tune hardware I'd never get it off.I did the googly thing to determine what was up.Beware - the DCAP-L as advertised by Amazon LLC is not 13 inches but only 12 inches. Based on really digging around the web the DCAP-XL is the 13 inch cap for the 12 inch djembe, so don't get burned after waiting almost a month for Amazon LLC.I just hope the pro bag I ordered before ordering the cap isn't described incorrectly as well. Still waiting on that one.Bummer.

I purchased this For a 12 inch djembe drum. It is not a large djembe drum, it is a traditional DJEMBE drum. It is really tight and just barely fits over my drum. It is usable, , But not ideal. Like many have posted, this Runs small and is even smaller than one would imagine. I guess it is made particularly for whatever line of drums that the company that manufactures this Also manufactures. If you do not have this drums specific size, don't buy it.. Here is an addition to my previous review, the damn thing ripped. Don't buy this piece of garbage unless you have the exact size for this line. Anything else will not work.

If you have a 12" key-tuned djembe, the appropriate size for it is the XL. The Meinl djembe cap is a good investment.

Although this item is made well, it is absolutely not as described. It is much smaller. I have a 10 inch djembe and I could not even get it over the ring. This Has been returned and if you are going to purchase it you must make sure that you are djembe is 9 inches or smaller because it will not fit a 10 inch djembe. The problem really is the elastic skirt because the pad is actually the right size but the skirt does not go around the head. Absolutely not the right size for a 10 inch djembe

Did not fit. I measured the head of my drum and ordered accordingly. This size was too small.

Fitted my 11 inch head traditional goat'n'roap djembe like a glove. Wouldn't fit a 12 inch head trade djembe (need to allow room for the rings and rope).

Eine passende regendichte Tasche habe ich für meine Djembe aus dem Senegal vergeblich gesucht.Dieser "Deckel" erschien mir als brauchbare Alternative. Ich bin aber nicht so zufrieden. Innen war er total klebrig, was auch durch waschen nicht richtig wegging. (Vielleicht wurde er zu lange in der Hitze gelagert.) Durch das häufige An- und Abmachen ist das Cap mitlerweile eingerissen, sodass ich mich wieder auf die Suche nach was Neuem machen muss...
