Piper Morgan In Charge!

Piper is now living with Nanna in her mom's hometown. Mom has a new job working in the principal's office. Piper wants to impress Mr. Steadman and be the best office helper, but she has a major rival. Lily is Mr. Steadman's daughter and the two aren't getting along.It was interesting seeing how Piper and Lily interacted with each other and changed throughout the story. Bad things were said and done between the two and there was the suspense of whether things would worsen or get better. There are lessons here about kindness, rivalry, jealousy, and the power of internal change. The characters, both the young ones and the adult ones, were nicely fleshed out and I enjoyed the school setting.

This is a fun little read with some history thrown in for good measure. Young and young at heart will enjoy joining Piper on her adventures.
