This grommet tool kit is pretty good. It works with grommets with the center hole measuring 1/2 inch in diameter. The hole cutter tool didn't cut through the fabric I was working on, so I used scissors. Otherwise, creating the actual grommet worked perfectly.

Works great for me and took a old tarp and made it useful again. Very good tool!!

We purchased a number of new large tarps from Amazon to cover the Quonset hut tubular structure as Hurricane Ian ruined the original ones. The tarps are heavy duty but for our application - they needed additional 3/8" diameter grommets to hold them in place. To apply new grommets we needed a tool to make the holes and attach the grommets. The GENERAL TOOLS TV322529 3/8" Grommet Kit made the job an easy task as the hole cutter was very sharp to make holes and the setting tools were precise to lodge the grommets into place. We highly recommend this tool kit as it also has 24, 3/8" diameter grommets.

This is advertised as a 3/8 inch grommet kit. I received the item and installed all the grommets on a tarp but needed more, so I bought the replacement pack of 3/8" grommets from the same company here on Amazon. When I received that pack, the grommets were too small. It turns out this was actually a 1/2" grommet kit with the wrong label on it. I ordered a pack of 1/2" grommets and finished the job. Excellent product, hopefully if you order it you'll get the correct sizing. Would have been 5 stars aside from that issue.

I was surprised that it even comes with a hole punch and a little block of hardwood .

I used the grommet tool to make a shower curtain and it worked very well. It was well priced. My only suggestion would be that the description should make it clearer how many brass grommets were already included in the package, because I unnecessarily bought another separate package of them.

As a female with moderate handy skills, this is easy to use. The die lost its luster after 8 uses however I had it sharpened a few times. I used it mostly on tarp - it did not cut thru all the way. I had to use a pair of scissors to cut it out which turned out to be an extra step. I purchased more grommets and keep on using this kit. The die could use some improvement to stay sharp.

Needed to add grommets to DIY blackout shade I made for video recording room. Was able to punch pleather easily, very happy with the kit. No oil like someone mentioned, dies are clean and sharp.
