My favorite mouse - I have big hands
I had to come write this review after switching to a couple of different mouse and then coming back to this one. I have been using this mouse for over 6 years now.I am a gamer and an accountant, so I use my mouse constantly for both. I have carpal tunnel, so I need an ergonomic mouse. I also have a desktop desk-raiser that only has about 5 inch tall clearance for the mouse, so I can't use vertical mouse as they are all too tall. For productivity and long hours of work, this mouse saves the day. Some of the other 24 degree mice I have tried just didn't work for my wrist and still caused me discomfort, but not this one. The side has a textured thumb grip, which goes along the length of the thumb and helps the grip. On the other side is a little lip which I don't rest my ring finger in, I have the ring finger and pinky on the very edge. I have very big hands, so this mouse is a bit small for mine, but even so and even with my ring finger and pinky touching the mousepad, I notice very little discomfort even with extended hours of use.For gaming, this does just fine for me. I don't play competitive FPS, I play mostly RPGs and indie games. The DPI at 1000 is just enough for me (it can move fast and requires less movement). If you play FPS, this probably isn't the mouse for you but could work in a pinch.I don't mind that there aren't any extra buttons. Just left, middle, and right click and a scroll wheel. I really like the scroll wheel for gaming, because each scroll is a click and it just feels right for the games I play where the scroll wheel is usually doing something with inventory. I also really appreciate the middle click, you will never accidentally click it, yet it is really easy to click fast when needed. I use my index finger to move over and click, as using my middle finger will flare up my carpal tunnel, and the click is easy and responsive, and the mouse doesn't move around. For work/productivity, I would probably prefer a faster dynamic type scrolling to wade through large spreadsheets, but instead I have this scroll about 5 lines at once and I use the middle click/drag to scroll faster or slower. For weight, this is hefty enough to not feel like its going to slip out from under you, but light enough to not feel like you have to use your hand muscles to move it around. It hits the sweet spot for me. I use one in the office and one at home, and I am not sure I will find a better one! After 6 years of use, a few things to note. The thumb pad is glued on, and mine has started to move around and get goo everywhere. Nothing that super glue and a wash can't fix. The silver part wears away to black as you can see in the picture, which I actually really like, but it might not be what you want.Overall, I have to give this 5 stars since I keep going back to it and just can't seem to part with it!

Comfortable, supportive, stable.
Extremely comfortable. Supports hand both when just resting on the mouse, and when clicking. Sides are subtly rubberized, which helps keep your hand stable. To go with, I'd recommend a mouse pad with a built-in wrist rest (e.g. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00134D3BA). Wrist support + hand in comfy stable position = great! Mind, that mouse pad is juuuust big enough for the Goldtouch to roam on, for my work setup: 2 x 24" screens at default 1920x1024 resolution: if you have more/bigger screens, you might want to look for a larger mouse pad.It has 6 low-friction "feet" to slide on, whereas a small mouse (say a low-end Logitech or Microsoft) will have just 4; this makes sense, since the Goldtouch is large and wide enough to wrap your entire hand around.Mouse is not twitchy, so quite fine for detail work.Gotta say, I was leery plonking down all that coin for a brand I'd never heard of before. But it's worked out fine. Apparently, Goldtouch have been around for a while: just not marketed aggressively.

If they would continue working...
NOTE: This review is for this product's 2017 version - I have not purchased one since then, and I do not know whether the quality has been improved. The mouse shape and size were nearly perfect for me. But the problem is that they did not last long for me. My first one was purchased used, and it started malfunctioning (cursor "glitching" and/or unresponsiveness) within 1 or 2 years. I purchased a new one to replace it, expecting it to last much longer. But, again, within approximately 2 years, it quickly became unreliable and, ultimately, unusable. The problem always seemed to be the wire, like it or its connection to the mouse deteriorated or otherwise became ..."compromised."

Gave me a hand injury
While not as acutely painful as the full "90 degree" stand-up mouse, this "45 degree" version still gives me pain in the small metacarpal base that touches the hamate carpal bone. Look up hand parts to see what I'm talking about.I bought this to replace a full stand-up mouse that seemed to be giving me some hand issues. It was only after I returned to using a standard two-button mouse and paid attention to my hand placement on the desk -- and stopped using power drills, screwdrivers and twisting off jar lids for 3 months -- that I was able to finally heal.
