Enchanting
KY Cady weaves a marvelous tale of deception, devotion, and *Magic*. The story is engaging and very well-written. I'm looking forward to Volume 2.

Magic from the heart
Funny, but some writers get so caught up in showing off their stylistic tricks, they forget to just tell the story. Kim Cady never does. THE ABBOTTSFORD CATS: THE SPHERE OF REMEL, her story of Maggie, an aging yet powerful gypsy, and the unusual cats she rescues, is both fast-paced and heart-felt, casting a spell all its own on the reader. A curse that Maggie has spent most of her life seeking to lift...a young girl and a kitten, both with special gifts...a man with a charred soul...all of these things come together in prose as jeweled and magical as "the gypsy's glittering gown reflect[ing] prisms through the tortie's red and gold fur." Cady's mystical tale carries us along, and we are more than willing to leave our disbelief behind while we take the ride.

If you like cats and magic, then, you should read this book.
Wonderful read for one sitting on evening at home relaxing or a rainy afternoon. I tried to finish it one sitting, but as you can see it took me two. The story is very engaging without getting bogged down in long-winded exposition. Much in the same way of a fairy-tale, the reader is able to accept the extraordinary elements in stride. The writing style is clean and no aspect is so mature it would not be an appropriate book to share with children of all ages. The message is clear and positive - love, forgiveness, and finding a place to belong. My only critique is that I had a little trouble keeping up with so many kitty-cats, but that's why I recommend reading it one sitting.I can't wait to accompany Darla and Shandor on the next part of their journey.

Easy Story
Likely not 5 stars for non-cat readers. Tough start, but a mystical feline yarn with some feel good moments..........and lots of cats.

Cats and Magic. What could be better?
If you enjoy cats and magic (and I do enjoy both) then you will find this little book enchanting. KY Cady obviously knows and loves cats, and it shows in the writing, which develops both atmosphere and characters without distracting. A lovely afternoon's read!
