I do a lot of sport video analysis on ice and I need to be sure my iPad is secure. I’ve used the MagConnect system for a number of years now and as far as I’m concerned, it is the best way to secure an iPad to a tripod.

a little overpriced for what it actually does. Really should include a few adapters to be multiuse.

I am a professional violinist and perform roughly 200 concerts/events per year. With over 600 pieces of repertoire in my collection, I became dependent on my iPad to hold everything I needed as well as a way for me to read the music from while I performed. I have purchased this item TWICE in the last year because the small mic stand attachment will eventually give out and break off. Only TWO MONTHS AGO, I purchased my second one, and in the middle of a performance my iPad just fell right off of the stand with the small mic stand attachment broken off, while the rest of the arm still firmly held my iPad. Not only could it have damaged my iPad as it fell onto a hard surface, but it disrupted my performance and reflected poorly upon me as the artist. I understand it that this corporation sells the replacement parts on their website, but I think $24.99 PLUS $17 shipping is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS for such a small piece of plastic/metal- especially if the main product breaks after 2 months of use!

Use it inside and out. Holds the IPAD on tight, which is inside the the Joy Factory rugged case. The case is then connected to a tripod.
