An enjoyable read
A most enjoyable story which - just for a change from most of PJ’s other stories that I’ve read so far - doesn’t have the Hero thinking that the heroine sleeps around and calling her nasty names. The H is a working class boy made good who is clearly enjoying the perks of his success, including his pick of women. However, while this aspect of his life is made clear at the start of the book it’s not “in your face” and - apart from his possible involvement with the upper class bitch who snubbed him when he was young (and even how intimate that relationship is isn’t confirmed) - there’s nothing to take exception to (unlike Rules of the Game where the H rubs the h’s nose in it - nasty!).The h is a well brought up young upper class lady who has breeding, good manners (unlike the upper class bitch mentioned above) and had a good job before she gave it up to nurse her uncle and is very likeable. The HEA could have been longer but that may be just my opinion as I prefer more in depth unveiling of their feelings (and a good epilogue). One worthy of re-reading in the future.

Adam and Brooke
A tease which was a dangerous game led Brooke into the path of the hunter Adam, a northern lad made good who enjoys the humiliation of the society women.A charged and hostile battle ensues and yet in the end neither win until they share their vulnerabilities.

Penny jordan at her best
This is a great story ,one which was to be released on Kindle on 21st June.I pre-ordered it along with others, only half were honoured without any explanations, until I was asked for reviews of the ones not received.!!! I questioned this and was told the matter would be passed on to the publishers. Not happy with the way the matter was dealt with I now wait in hopeful anticipation that these books will be made available shortly.

From the back cover
Love has no price.Brooke Beauclere was under no illusions. To Adam Henderson she was an object of fleeting desire - upper class, stunningly beautiful, elusively tantalizing - a suitable conquest for an over-confident male with a fortune at his disposal.Oh, how she longed to teach him a lesson for his arrogant assumption that she could be purchased - at any price! Why, he was no more feeling than the high-society snobs who'd once humiliated him for his working-class roots.Against all reason, Brooke was attracted to him and running from the time when she might reveal her love and risk losing Adam completely.
