I bought this for a friend who is a big space enthusiast. She loves it! The box is just plain gorgeous. The certificate of authenticity was great (she looked up the story online). The stone is an interesting shape. The price is right. The leather chain, however, is what clinched it for me. The metal ones look cheap unless you spend a lot. The leather chain really matches the rugged "in the field" look of wearing a meteorite. I made big points for giving a unique gift that everyone was talking about.My friend is a nurse in a busy city PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit). She uses Star Wars and space stuff to start conversation with her sick and injured child patients. The meteorite is a huge hit. She wears it every day. The kids are amazed to get to touch a rock from space and she tells them all about it. It take their mind off their (serious) problems. You don't get put in an ICU unless you are really in trouble.

The meteorite is very cool, and I feel good wearing a piece of outer space! It is small, but just the right size for a subtle necklace. The leather rope is not my style, so I bought a black stainless steel rope chain to replace it - on Amazon, of course. I would recommend this necklace.
