Let's face it, glow tapes fade to a fainter light for often overnight.But I have got glow tape off Amazon from a few different China imports brands that performed about as well as good glow-the-dark photo luminescent tape can be expected to perform, which is this:Some luminescence tapes like 3M are pretty good. Some 'other brands' perform well also.The idea behind any "glow-the-dark photo luminescent tape or gel" is that it holds a faint glow for hours, the longer the better. Meant for pitch black.You train your "night vision" to be able to detect it.Light-Infantry (Miitary Soldiers) used the concept of using their trained eyes. They use the tape to mark at night, uniform tabs, base camp etc.Light sensors in your eyes called rods and cones. They can spot the faint light admitted a few meters, after your eyes grow accustomed to the dark. However long it takes. Few minutes if you're a "Ninja" to 20 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on personal and how much you practice.These flashlightd are not THAT! Ha ha had you fooled slightly but here's what I mean. They're still a good bargain and for now, the best so far that I can fend at this per unit price.They DO glow a few min, and help me around before bed, frequent use.TIP: Take come good glow-the-dark photo luminescent tape and wrap some on the handle. To supercharge it so to speak.Take them in a dark bathroom or closet, and they faintly flow, in total darkness.That is how those kinds of glow-the-dark photo luminescent tape and gels work. SO, you get about what's expected for glow-the-dark photo luminescent flashlight gel in this price range. Could be better. MANUFACTURER: Please add more luminescence. Could be worse. Not bad. Best you'll find a the price range.itBut besides that, these are decent / good flashlights in this price range which is still a roll-the-dice-per-unit flashlight-price-range for any cheaper stuff like this. So all things considered, so far this is a decent lot.And they come with decent batteries and are way brighter than a similar model from another brand I bought several years ago. I would buy again for gifts. And just did. For stocking stuffers. They are good basic lights of this type and price point.I'm not getting paid or compensated for my awesome review - but I kinda deserve it!Especially since I've ordered 4 boxes of these new. I love these, we bought them for a corn maze in the moonlight. They came with batteries, the beams were super bright and the button to turn it on was very large, it was perfect! The flashlight itself is also super durable as it's made out of metal with a soft gel grip on the outside. The gel grip is really soft, but doesn't slip, and has lasted really well so far. I liked these so much I kept them to be put in my glove boxes as emergency flash lights. They're super brightly colored so they're really easy to find too.

The beam is very powerful for something so cute and small.The rubber on it is great, nothing cheap about it.It's got good weight too, feels "good in the hand"I do like the rubber coating, non slip.But the light is so bright, it's AWESOME.I bought one in every color and keep them in the different houses I go to, I tried to find colors that coordinated with the rooms of a summer home so that if they got misplaced in the house, I'd know which rooms they came out of, but though there are many colors to choose from there's no yellow... which I hoped for.Don't hesitate, these are fantastic.
