Works great!
This pool vacuum works so well! We have an above ground pool and we kept getting pollen and debris that collected in the bottom of the pool but the basic pool vac that came with the pool didn't get all of the particles so I found this one. It works so well and gets all of the tiny bits on the bottom of the pool! It charges quickly, super easy to use and worth the money. Just take care of it and don't leave it in the sun or the bottom panel will warp.

Finally!
UPDATE!!Almost a year later! Still love this little vacuum. The motor went out at 9 months (and I really babied it) but the manufacturer sent a replacement right out, a couple screws and it was back in business. šI love this for getting stuff out the pool that you donāt want to run thru the filter and wastes very little water. It runs around 30 to 45 minutes before needing charged. It collects sand and small debris and some algae.I wish-* It was made sturdier and a bit heavier so it wouldnāt be as apt to try to float. I use a heavy metal pole and it still wants to float.* It came with a crappy pole that I used once. It now shares a long sturdy metal pole with the brush.* The brush head moves to adjust easily to angles but I find it keeps flipping up and floating.I got a vacuum that ran by itself using water pressure and a huge hose. Kept getting stuck. Such a pain.Got a manual leaf catcher. Awkward and time consuming, but got leaves. Not sand or algae or any fine particles. Used once and have never looked at it again.Got a good wide brush head vacuum. Cheap plastic broke in different spots until it was unusable. Worked well until it didnāt. Dead within 3 months.Canāt afford the robot yet so I tried this one.First use today. Finally found what I was looking for.Easy to clean and put back together.Easy and light weight. (Bit of an issue there because the base takes effort to keep on the floor the deeper the water is.)No more lugging around the ginormous hose! š„³Battery operated. (No chance of electrocution. ā”ļø)Pole is a surprisingly nice sturdy strength. Unfortunately, itās only good for my shallow end. The holes align with my poles so I can interchange them.Cleans great!! Having the ability to suck up big leaves AND small particles (sand, dirt, bugs, algae). The filter inside catches most of the little stuff, but not all. I could see some being put back in the water.Longevity- to be determinedI love it. I wish they made a professional version made with materials that will last 5 to 10 years.I have a feeling that even with the utmost care, it wonāt last years. šOverall I recommend this over the other crap out there. I canāt compare with a robot, but this is an affordable option I would say to give it a shot before investing in a robot. But! This is use one. Who knows how things progress from hereā¦I will update after a few more uses or of flaws discovered

Donāt buy!
I bought my first above ground pool for my three and four-year-old grandchildren. They are only three and four, so I bought a small 4 x 7 x 2 foot pool. I needed a way to clean the bottom; although the top is easy to skim with a net, and it is covered when not in use, I noticed the bottom was collecting slippery algae, dirt from little feet, toys thrown in, etc. These children donāt swim yet so I donāt want them to slip under and get scared. I did use chlorine but clearly still needed a vacuum. I donāt have a place to plug in a filter pump so I purchased this water broom.I was intensely disappointed. The batteries were easy to put in, but turning it on is an insane chore. If you turn it to the left or right to turn it on or off, which requires a body builder to do, the basket that contains the filter falls off, but there is no other way to turn it, you need that leverage, especially when wet. It is very hard to do under normal circumstances, and Iām sure the kids learned a new swear word when listening to me trying to turn it off. When I fractured a finger, it became impossible. Even my husband is unable to turn it off or on easily. Believe every review that says itās hard to turn off and on, because itās harder than that.I honestly donāt understand how this thing is supposed to work. It has two very tiny little filters, one for big leaves and one for small things, and while it will suck up a few leaves and bugs, it doesnāt suck up much more than that as there isnāt room. Plus, the water comes back out of the side so any dirty water spews right back into the pool. It might look nice while you are sweeping it, but in reality the dirty water is swirling around and will settle as soon as you are done. This was a terrible purchase. It might be fine for a tiny plastic kiddy pool, (maybe) but not for my tiny above ground pool.I am upset when I buy these big sized things because I never am able to send them back once used, but I do want to warn people not to buy this. At least try one of the ones with the bigger filter because this tiny little filter thing wonāt even clean my tiny little pool.I have had to drain my pool three or four times this summer just to get it clean enough for the kids to be safe. A chore in itself as it still leaves a foot of water so you constantly have to push the dirty water out. As I said I do use chlorine and I have used algicide. Iām a former fish keeper so I understand water. This broom just doesnāt do the trick, only water changes. I just wish I had an outlet for a filter pump.Nothing is all bad so I will say the battery life is good, and the batteries are well protected from the water. Suction seems ok but since it spits the water back into the pool like a house vacuum without a cannister, Iām not sure if it matters. Umā¦I guess thatās it. Donāt waste your money. I do not know why this has any good reviews. I bought the updated one, maybe the old one was better?
