Blue Ox BX88101 two 1/2 locks and one 5/8 Lock Kit , Orange

I always spray my lock with graphite before use. These were of course very well working locks even before that. My one complaint is that the dust boot on the locks seems pretty minimal and not robust. We’ll see, but after about 10 hitch and unhitches, I’ve dropped them on the ground a few times already…they are probably not long for this world.

Love them, is a pain to lock and unlock but having to do that makes shure you have them locked so for that reason I think they are the greatest and are a great quality

Keeps our towing set up and vehicle secure!

This product works as advertised. It secures our towbar to the motorhome, and our vehicle to the towbar. All of the included keys were identical, so, I have 6 keys, making it very convenience to have a key on the tow vehicle key ring and the motorhome key ring and still have 4 spares.I can see how if you were in a hurry and did not double check that the hasp and lock were secure to one another you could presume to be finish and then lose the lock. However, it's not hard to confirm that the lock is securely attached to the hasp.We have a Jeep Wrangler 2013 Unlimited and we do not have a Blue Ox base plate, we have the Currie Enterprises tow bar mounting plate. These locks worked great.If you have a Blue Ox towbar, you'll be happy to add these locks to peace of mind. I'm sure other products work as well, I wanted to keep it in the family.I would recommend these to anyone. They might even work well with a non-Blue Ox towbar.

I needed these to fit my Blue-Ox base plate. While towing our car behind our class A diesel pusher, one of the hairpin clevis pins came out or broke. The pin attaching the tow-bar to the baseplate, worked loose and fell out. Car was doing its own thing going side-to-side, could have had a bad accident with it. I bought these to prevent such problems in the future. Well worth the cost.

These locks are of good quality. The picture showed an additional pin for the receiver but only one came with the set. They are difficult to put on because the lock does not stay open without the key inserted and turned. When you are trying to balance the tow bar, inserting it into the tow vehicle receiver, and trying to lock the pin is difficult at best. The lock should have been made to stay open and lock when you insert the pin into the lock. Trying to keep the key inside the lock, while the key is turned to unlock it, and trying to insert the lock into the pin can be quite the task because you need to hold the key and lock in one hand, while keeping it unlocked, and using the other hand to push the pin into the lock.

Nice to have one key to fit all locks and they seem to be pretty water tight.
