Well researched and it "paints" a clear, well rounded picture.
Very enjoyable read. It presented a picture of Allan MacRae, his family, community, and the era. Using these things, it presents a quite clear image of the highlands and some of the issues with which they've had to contend. I very much enjoyed this book.

Back to my roots.
Really enjoying this book. It's setting is familiar territory and the author went to the same school as I did. So it's a winner for me.
