It worked okay for a couple months but recently stopped working. I'll try a new battery but I'm disappointed that it stopped working so quickly.

The noise levels that you set before it starts shocking your dog seem to work for my dog. She will bark, hear the noise, and that stops her. It is nice to know that it isnt requireing the shocks to stop her. There are basically no directions with the thing. it includes two sets of prongs that you can screw on, that are either shorter or longer depending on the fur thickness of your dog. we have a beagle/mix, so dropped it to the shorter ones. they work well.There is one piece that came with it that I think you are supposed to use to verify that the prongs work, but we have never been able to get that piece to work. Overall happy with the collar though. We only put it on her though when we are home, because we have read stories where sometimes shock collars go off non stop and burn the dog. But no problem like that with this one

This worked fairly well for the first year. I saw a dramatic change in my dog's behavior when I first started using it. However, it only changed behavior when he wore it. When it was off, he still barked whenever he wanted too. It never made any long-term behavior changes. Additionally, after about a year, it pretty much just stopped working. Either he learned how to bark without setting it off, or it just lost its sensitivity. Finally, its pretty close to impossible to find the batteries needed to replace it. I finally had to specially order them. Overall, I got some reprieve, but not long-lasting or worth the cost.

So far I have only used it a few days. I have it on a thick haired husky. I'm using mainly for the sound that goes off when she barks and that is working so-so. She tries to bark more quietly but still gets overly excited and barks. I think if I trimmed her hair and let it zap her she would still just would power bark through it because she gets so excited so I'm just leaving it where the buzzer goes off. I have been taking it off at night and leaving it off until she barks so she knows why she is getting put on.I'm sure if I used it correctly it would get her attention better but ya know I'm their Mom and well ....

I was originally skeptical about this product because of the great price, but "Wow" it works. I have a 2 to 3 year old Shih Tzu that I rescued from the animal shelter who I have tried to train to stop barking at cars driving by, but nothing worked and I really did not want to have to resort to using a static shock barking collar. However, for the sake of my neighbors and my sanity I decided to try this one. Before I put it on my dog I tried it on my self to see the intensity of the shock. The shock startled me, but did not hurt me, so I knew it would be okay to get my Shih Tzu's attention (stubborn). My Shih Tzu weighs 17 pounds and the collar is very light weight and fits him great. The only thing bad I can say about the collar is the sensitivity because when my other dog barks it sets off the alarm beeps and if she keeps barking my Shih Tzu will get shocked. However, since the price is so great I have decided to order another one to help teach her not to bark. Hopefully, when giving the quiet command when I hear the alarm beeps go off they will both respond to verbal correction, so I can eliminate the use of the static collars all together.

There are going back as they did not work. All we could get them to do was beep and ,have the lite blink. Instructions where not clear at all and did not tell you what to do with the little clear piece of plastic which appear to have a lite bulb in it and was a wrench to change the probe's

This does what it says it will do. Our dog got shocked with it the first time wearing it, and it definitely scared him straight. Since then, he does not bark at all if he is wearing the collar. If he is not wearing the collar and barks, we can just push the button on the collar to make it beep (warning), and he will stop barking immediately. Worked well for us. I cannot give it 5 stars only because the sensitivity adjustment doesn't seem very accurate. Other loud noises and even dog tags jingling against it can sometime make it signal a warning beep.

Was not adjustable, directions were awful, and would beep and warn my dog of a shock anytime she jumped. I took it off due to it continually shocking her, because she would yelp once she was shocked and it would in return continue shocking her, she didn't have it on for more than 5 minutes before I decided it wasn't going to work for her. Once I placed it on the counter it was so sensitive anytime something else was placed on the counter it would shock!
