Zentangle Fabric Arts: Fabric Arts, Quilting, Embroidery (Design Originals) Increases Relaxation, Improves Focus, Enhances Creativity

I love to play with tangles and have been a fan for several years. My doodles are much improved!Seriously - tangling does focus your mind and the other books on Zentangles have always seemed like new and interesting patterns to try. I am very happy to own all of the previous books in this 'series'.As it happens - I am also a textile arts kind of gal and so I have tangles on cloth at times. I like this book well enough and it does offer information about how to stabilize your cloth in order to tangle on it more easily. There are some new tangle ideas incorporated for cloth.Am I pleased that I purchased this book? Yes! I like to keep all I can find on a subject that truly interests me.Do I think that this is "must buy"? Not necessarily.It's not the best of the series IMHO but it is a good addition for those of us who are both tangle and cloth fascinated.

It matters not if you are a beginner or advanced, there's something for us all.The instructions are clear, concise and simple to apply. "Zentange Fabric Arts Quilting Embroidery" shows you how to use your designs for free-motion quilting among other projects. The step-by-step instructions are simple to apply and there are tips to make it easier, with photos showing what you are working to achieve.So, if you want to become well versed on "zenning" and want wonderful, free-flowing designs that will make people do a double take and ask "How'd you do that??!" this is the book for you!

A fun book to have for getting into Zentangle on fabric. Easy to follow instructions and ideas for designs to make pieces with beautiful Zentangle art. Some zentangles work better than other when sewing designs on fabric and this book is a great reference for tangles that work. The book offers directions and pictures to show how to create Zentangle pieces you can use.

Once you start on Zentangles your doodles will never be the same, soon you'll be seeing patterns in everything you look at, designing your own Zentangles without thinking about it. Such a pretty way to fill in space, I love to do these shapes in my paintings to add flair and interesting focal points.

This gives a good basic introduction to zentangles and then leads into their applications in the sewing world. It seems like a very short book, yet it has many designs shown so that the reader can go from basic designs to more intricate ones.

Fun once you've got interest in Zentangle or want to expand your doodling possibilities. This one goes one step further bringing the art to fabrics. Besides fun, it is definitely a means of making your creative juices flow. This book has a lot of great ideas for ways to incorporate Zentangles into fabric arts. The quilting designs are creative, the use of paints is intriguing and the embroidery ideas are really nice too. Small book packed with ideas.

I enjoyed the book seeing the many different ways the Zentangle designs can be used in many different ways. The book has projects from many different artists, many of them using ink on fiber.

Sweet, short and simple to follow. Actually pleasantly inspiring. Trouble is . . . Zentangle is quiet addictive and practicing on your sewing machine is so relaxing you forget to get on with your quilt. ;-) .
