About the Author Carsen Taite is an avid reader and writer of lesbian fiction. Carsen works by day (and sometimes night) as a criminal defense attorney in Dallas, Texas. Though her day job is often stranger than fiction, she can’t seem to get enough and spends much of her free time devouring novels, lesbian fiction in particular.Carsen is an active member of the GLBT community, participating in several organizations on both the local and state levels. Nice Enough
This was nice enough but the ending seemed a little hurried, and could have used a little more Happy Ever After - The characters were interesting and the build up through the book of the mystery and investigation of the missing girl and why the government is after her is pretty well done. It was pleasant enough to read, but seemed to lack a level of ZING to truly make it a must read. I paid 9.99 for it and I think that was over paying for what I got. The cover was really beautiful looking, and there isn't a LOT of female to female romance fiction available so I took the chance, but this didn't really give a 9.99 amount of satisfaction. I think this would be a better buy at 6 bucks or under, but for basically 10 bucks I want to walk away from reading feeling very satisfied, instead of just okay.

An Old Friend
I enjoy the way characters from one of Carsen Taite's books seamlessly slips into a new book as the heroine. It is like seeing an old friend redeem herself and one immediately roots for her success. The Best Defense is interesting, funny and entertaining. A good read.

The contents and detail are the focus and the romance complements it.
I like the facts that the author rights individual stories and the book is very interesting on its own. Series writing becomes very boring.All the women are professional and sex is not the major focus.

Never Let Her Go
I have definitely become a Carson Taite fan. I love her books and I love the tenacity of the characters involved. The stories remind you of everyday life and struggles. I absolutely love tenacious women and these books are brimming with them. I can't wait to read my next one. I think I'm almost through the whole series!!!

I don't know what to say. I been reading so many books lately and then doing reviews on them. I can tell you is I loved to see the characters who have had a rough time end up with a happy ending. Thank you for another happy ending.

Good Read ! Fun!
I read it within hours of receiving the book from Amazon.Taite is a wonderful lesbian writer and this book has two interesting characters.in fact, I hope she considers doing a series with these characters. Sure there is some similarities to her previous book, I enjoyed it.

Thus was a great story. I loved that it dwelt with the investigation side of things more than the romance side.
