Amazing company
I got the one for android for my trip to Central America. At the beginning of my trip I realized the device didn’t fit my phone. I changed phones a week before the trip to Apple. Oh no!! So I couldn’t use it. Their app allows for texting translation but WiFi is needed, the device doesn’t need WiFi. I emailed them about my issue and they sent out a device that would fit apple right away! No charge, just right away helping me with my situation. Unfortunately, the time it arrived was at the end of my trip, but their effort to help me was remarkable

Hoped it would work better than Google Translate
So, I bought this in hopes that it would work better than Google Translate on my phone. I know there's ChatGPT but that requires the ability to get the sounds into Chinese characters and then into ChatGPT, and it's a lot more hoops then I'm willing to do. So, I got this thing hoping it would be better than Google Translate. It's a little dongel like device that I figured would be a better mircophone than my phone, it doesn't seem to be... I figured it'd have professional software that could translate better than Google Translate, and it doesn't. In meeting mode, it gets the directions of the speakers correct about 90% of the time, but it only catches a few words, like one or two, here and there. I absolutely can't follow the conversations of my colleagues at work with this thing. I theoretically could ask them to speak more slowly, but they're usually in a hurry at their meetings, wanting to get them overwith quickly, and they're used to FETs not even attending the meetings and they're not speaking too me, or for my benefit, so they're not really concerned about making sure I understand them in these meetings. When I am having a conversation with someone, it's generally simplier to just use Google Translate. Often I use my phone to translate to Chinese and they use their phone to translate to English. Sometimes, with older folks, I'll allow them to use my phone to translate from Chinese to English for us. This dongle doesn't fit my phone with the cover on, and I don't want to walk around without my phone in a case... I've dropped my phone more than a few times, and msot of my smartphones, and this one's been saved by the case more than a few times. In fact, I just put it in a new case because the old case was busted from a fall when I was walking and stepped into a shallow hole made by a construction crew and fell over. I was walking where I've walked many times before, but looking up directions to a place I've never been and stepped into the shallow hole. It was dumb on my part and I'm glad I didn't get seriously hurt... but... point is, I don't like carrying my phone around without it's case, so I'm not going to remove the case and plug this device in for quick conversations with shopkeepers or a quick chat with a neighbor. I don't mind so much removing my case and plugging in the device and setting it on a table while I'm in a meeting, if the thing work. But it doesn't. So, I feel like it's a rather large waste of money at this point.

Timekettle Zero Language Translator Device
Good device, easy to use The only negative is that there are few offline dictionaries P.S. - On my ZERO, it turned out not a very convenient action - in order for the device to perceive speech normally, it must be brought close to the face A friend with a similar device does not have such a problem.

Before you buy IOS is for iPhone and C is for Android
I bought two for our trip to Greece. The main reason I bought these were the excellent reviews not only on Amazon but other sites as well. They translate GREEK, where most others do not. I bought the earbuds and I love them. They paired easily which is a plus since im technologically impaired. The ZERO I had a harder time with but Timekettle support was excellent and I found that i purchased the wrong Zero for my phone. IOS is for iPhone and C is for Android so make sure you order the correct version for yourselves. I find the earbuds keep up slightly faster than the zero but the zero is able to cover more kinds of conversation, especially if the person or people you’re speaking to do not have the earbuds. My family and friends all borrow it when traveling. Im thinking this will make a great gift for them! It works well, Sound quality is good, Pairing is easy and Translation if not exact is really close enough for me to understand the conversation. Im learning quite a bit as well. If was definitely a good purchase on my part and it was well worth the money,

Does not work as well as it should.
The product is only part of the expense. You won't find out until you get it and link it in the app that for it to work offline, you need to buy each offline language. Works good translating from English to Chinese, but sucks the other way around.
