Inventive Ne w World Again
Our current world is changing in ways we can't predict. I became invested in reading each and every word in the development of each character . I enjoyed each chapter centered on a specific character and their struggles personally and on over coming a deadly environment. I am beyond ready for book three and four!

I've been waiting for this book and it's been worth the wait
Love, love, love the world building in this series. The author is great at getting you to love the characters and the story is always a great ride. I cannot wait to see what is next in store for everyone. Also enjoy the little mentions of the other stories in this world that someone who has read all of her books would pick up on. Eager for the next book!

Every book gets better
I don’t know how Sarah Lyons Fleming does it, but every book is better than the last and this one keeps the trend alive. Great character development and suspense that keeps you clutching the book not sure if you should keep reading or pray first for the characters. I could not put this down and was irritated when my real life (work & kids) kept getting in the way of reading.

it’s good, but not great.
Okay, maybe it’s just me but I felt as if this one didn’t flow right…… I’ve tried not to compare it to her other two series. However, I couldn’t help myself. ***************SPOILER ALERT*********In her last series, The City Series, Eric ingests water from the Hudson. He didn’t turn/die from the virus…. Same with those in the Until The End of the World (remember when Anna and Peter didn’t filter the water??) But in this book, those who drank the unfiltered water did?? Remember when Cassie and gang encounters the guys who ATE Lexers? Sure they were sick in the head but they didn’t turn…. Maybe in the future books something else will come to light about how they actually turned. Like I said, I don’t think it’s because the water is contaminated and carried the virus. The other series disproves that…I only deducted one star because I can’t stand not having consistency in any arc stories…. I am looking forward to the next books in the series!

Worth the wait
The wait for this book was so long that I reread the first book again and it reminded of one, Sarah is an amazing writer period, and two, that book was way longer than I remembered, which made me happy because I usually never want Sarah's books to end and I'm sad when they do end - especially a series in progress where we'll be waiting months/years for the next book.I fully enjoyed reading this book, as I've enjoyed reading and re-reading all of Sarah's books. I do think this book dragged a little in the middle and some elements were somewhat predictable but the overall reading experience was very good.If you're into great writing, character development, and excellent zompoc, survival elements, realism (as real as it can be with zombies) without the Improbable to Ridiculous Hollywood Action Hero that never ends thing, or you like Sarah's other books, this is for you.I do mostly agree with points made by @LeeAnn but none of it bothered me enough to detract from the overall book.

The headline for a review is the hardest part…
Sarah continues to hold our heartstrings on a short leash. Her character creation and development is magical. I love these people, and I am so very vested in their lives and their survival. That’s Sarah’s greatest story-telling achievement. Some may say it’s too much, that this book was all about these relationships, and they say it like that’s a bad thing. That is what makes all of these stories stand out and so special! That is what makes these people become family and friends, and what makes all of us who devour each new release return to read them over and over again. Unlike so many other zompoc stories, these are human focused, and they are very well written. They give us all the hope, love, happiness, humor possible that make such a devastating life surrounded by death and loss and tragedy endurable. A story without the human touches is just an anxiety riddled panic attack pieced together with no hope. Who needs that in a world like ours? Remember this second book ended up being split in half and continues into the third, so while some may say not enough happened, there is plenty of action and development, and we are left fearful, yet hopeful, for what comes next. Read it, read them all. They are amazing.

Amazing!!!!
Amazing as ever! Sarah lyons fleming's books always leaves you sitting on the edge of your seat and this one is no different. Honestly love all of Sarahs books so much you really lose yourself in them and feel like part of the gang on the journey with them. Love the character growth in this book and can't wait for the next one. Glad Sarah took her time with this one and really built the characters stories. I just know the next books are gonna be heartbreaking though. Really was happy to hear that this book was split in two so we could really have more of the character build up. If I could give it more stars I would.

Seriously the best zombie books ever
Being an avid fan of the world SLF has created ,I have eagerly awaited the second instalment of the Cascadia series and it was a fantastic rollercoaster of emotions as always. The characters are well written and realistic,no idealised airy-fairy rubbish. You want them to succeed (or die depending on who it is) .As always,no one is safe so don't get too attached! I will always recommend Sarah's books to anyone that will listen, definitely worth a read if you want a portrayal of how 'real' people would survive a zombie apocalypse rather than the usual 'gun mad, disillusioned ex soldier' type commonly found in Zompoc stories.

Satisfying Sequel
World Between is a better follow up to World Departed than I could have imagined. The characters are so well developed and intriguing. SLF really understands people and what makes them tick and it really comes across in all her books but especially this one, with the characters of Ethan and Holly. I found the last third of the book so satisfying in how the story arced, which I’llstill thinking about. The ending is perfect. Can’t wait for the next book.

SLF does it again!
Another fantastic instalment in this rich, wonderful world Sarah Lyons Fleming has created. The second installment of the cascadia series is even better than the first, laugh out loud funny in some places, heart wrenching in others. It's scary, sexy, sweet, romantic, everything a good story can be, with plenty of twists and drama. I'll be eagerly awaiting the next book, and rereading this and Sarah's other two series as well! If you haven't read Until the End of the World or The City Series, go check them out now!
