Hamper Color: Silver / Black

Color is not representative so I took away one star. Amazon needs to do something about this. The color is actually a kind of a grayish-greenish-beige. It is not a warm tone. That being said, I purchased two and they are the best hampers I've purchased. The lid and bottom base are made of very heavy and sturdy MDF. The sides are simply the vinyl fabric which has a tweedy texture and breathes really well. Usually damp towels leave mildew in hampers, but, after a couple of months heavy use, I've experienced no mildew, no smell in these hampers. Deceptively compact...actually holds quite a bit of laundry. Long, narrow footprint means it doesn't take up valuable laundry room space. My cats think I purchased these hampers for them. They love napping on top.

So 5 stars is perfect. I removed one for being exorbitantly priced ($60) - the hamper is woven plastic stretched around a meager plastic frame. The particle board lid & bottom seem to be the sturdiest parts. Hinges ok, too, but are attached to plastic, so not sure how long that joint will last. Removed another star because what I was sent was not what is pictured on Amazon. See photos. I bought the sage/brown version. The color palette is cooler than the one in the Amazon picture and appears to have a smaller texture to the weave. I do love that it's made in America, but that fact makes me even more disappointed that the quality screams "Made In China."

I bought this hamper to replace an older one made of wicker. This one is certainly nicer looking (as far as hampers can look nice, I suppose...). However, as far as utility, I'm not sure that I can say this is as good. If this hamper is simply going to stay put in one place, then it is fine. However, if you are going to be transporting it and the contents to and from a laundry room, then this is not the hamper for you. It has no handles, so picking it up can be challenging. And the hamper itself is really heavy - so it is even heavier when you add dirty laundry to it.

Sturdy, well made, heavy duty but still looks nice. Holds a TON of 2 and 4 year old kid clothes. Works well in our girls' bathroom and fits snugly into a small corner. I wish it either had wheels or handles for transporting to the laundry room, but other than that I really like it.

I was looking for a hamper that was functional yet pretty and I found it in this one. The material allows for odors to escape without them sitting and stinking up the whole hamper. The size also worked well...I was able to fit it in my small closet and still have room to walk in.

Perfect size for our space and it holds a lot of laundry. Sleek silver color matches our decor & blends with our furniture instead of sticking out like an ugly laundry basket. Very pleased with our purchase.

Sleek, attractive hamper. Great color, matches any decor. Sturdy and roomy. I love the hinged lid. I have one in the closet as bedding storage. Roomy enough for extra blankets and sheets.
