Seville Dining Chairs, Beige

These just arrived and have been assembled. I paid $75 apiece to replace similar from HD that cost $30 on sale.It is apparent the chair is built by people who don't care. The angled holes and buried threading was eyeballed when drilled by some human. The lineup for the bolts is not accurate. The starter bolt for chair center is too short to reach the threads. Start with one of the longer, sleeved, front leg bolts and insert in center seat hole until just started into the threads. Wrestle and wrangle to get the other 4 bolts loosely threaded. Good luck on that. I managed somehow. Keep it loose and sloppy then finger tight before using allen wrench. Once the 4 corner seat bolts are mostly tightened, remove the temporary center bolt and replace it with the shortest, non-shouldered bolt and washer. It should line-up, no wrangling. Be careful tightening. If not perfectly tightened, the chair will wobble but if while tightening, you hear a pop, youve just damaged the inset threads. Now youve got a ripped out insert and splintered wood. Some quality white glue and 3 days drying will get you back in business.Once assembled, the chair sits, pitched forward and not comfortable on your seat or back. I used a miter saw and cut-off 1-1/2 inches at a 12.5 degree angle of the rear legs, lowering the angle in which you sit. Major improvement on comfort. Suddenly the backrest meets your back and your weight shifts rearward, the lean angle looks and feels correct and compared to other dining chairs, is equal in height. I also removed the crappy tack-on foot glides and replaced with high quality units and adhesive felts. $Now the $75, new chair is almost but not quite as good as the $30 chair it replaces. The seat padding is flat and stays depressed after minimal sitting time. Serve wine so your guests won't notice their butts are sore. You won't have to worry about lingering guests. Save these chairs for the in-laws or that whacked-out uncle.2 stars for the chairs as designed. Add 1 star for my work, effort and extra cost.Good luck

I was actually pleasantly surprised when I received these chairs. The color of the fabric is a nice tan shade (a little lighter than the picture) and the material is linen. They are decent dining chairs especially for the price of the set. They are going to be used in my dining room in my apartment along with 2 other accent chairs so I didn't need anything extremely fancy or expensive. I ordered 2 sets (4 total) and the only downfall was that they were delivered by 2 different couriers and there was a missing seat cushion in one of the boxes. Customer service was able to assist in expediting another shipment. Other than that, I have no complaints.

one leg is shorter had too screw out the leveler all the way out to level . tuck measurements from the base on both sides ( the front legs) full lengthone leg is 5/8 shorter or the other leg is 5/8 longer either way not very good

purchased as a gift...the chairs are nice; they're more a burlap style than linen and perfect for the home they were purchased for...the only issue was delivery time...delivery was delayed due to "transportation delay" issues...Purchased on 20 Jun...UPS rec'd 22 Jun...finally delivered the evening of 30 Jun...

Terrible. Legs on three chairs have already split and they have not yet been used. Bought 8 only have four put together and cannot return because return window has closed. Don't buy. I wrote in when first leg split and never got a response. 1 star only because you have to but would have preferred 0 star.

Excellent chairs, especially for the price. These are a nice size. The depth and height, are comfortable w/ plenty of padding, well made construction, and fit perfect at the table. After researching, I realized most Parson chairs are deep and wide and an average height person can't touch feet to the ground. I specifically ordered these for their smaller scale width/depth and taller 40" height. I'm ordering 2 more of these. Linen color is true to picture.

these chairs are made cheap and are not worth the money ! the chairs must be put together with screws and all the parts do not match up !

Very pleased with the chairs. Very nice for the price. Easy to assemble. One had screws a little angled but with a little wiggling I got it together.
