New Metro Design 5L-MR Beater Blade METAL, works w/most KitchenAid 5 Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixers, Red

This item is outstanding. I will use this utensil each time I use the mixer. Forget Kitchen Aid Corporate.

I have used a Kitchen Aid K5-A, with a SS, 8-inch ID, bowl for over 50 years, and this is by far the best paddle I have ever had, and, thanks to its metal construction, perhaps the last. All others were inadequate, or, as did my long standby gray plastic paddle with rubber edges, shattered in a stiff oatmeal cookie dough.

I just made a recipe that involved creaming egss and sugar together. The producrt worked excellent and continued to clean walls of bowl on my way to having a well defined ribbon in the mixture. I am happy that if fit my bowl well. Seemed to function equally well at multiple speeds.

How have I gone without this accessory for most of my life?! The plastic fins and bent-arm design combine to speed up the mixing process by a factor of two and eliminate the need to scrape the work bowl of the mixer - what a blessing!

The media could not be loaded.  This item worked great. It scraped all the sides all the way down to the dimple. My video shows a double batch of molasses cookies being mixed. As you can see, it's flawless in my 5 qt KitchenAid loft stand mixer.

I absolutely love this mixing blade. You have to measure your kitchen aid bowl to make sure it’s 9” in diameter. But this blade does exactly what it says it will do. Last weekend I made sourdough banana bread. I was so impressed by the blade that I’ve been telling all my friends about it.

The media could not be loaded.  While this is a very well made product it is too tall to fit the KSM55, KSM60, KSM70, and KSM75 mixers and will cause binding. I emailed the company and was told that the binding is "normal" but the Kitchenaid branded flex edge beater for these models does not bind at all. In fact the page for the Kitchenaid KDF7B is only for the above-mentioned mixers.

Ever nice not having to scrape the sides of the bowl. Why aren’t stand mixers equipped with is from the factory?

I would highly recommend this beater blade/paddle. It is very durable and sturdy and so much better than the plastic one we had previously.

Given as a gift to an avid baker who said it worked very well.

Reliable and sturdy for my attempts at baking, The study metal frame gives me the peace of mind that it won't break from heavy load from my Kitchenaid 6+ pro. The rubber tip scrapes the sides of my bowl so i won't have to use a spatula instead. All the contents in the bowl is now mixed relatively thoroughly and saves me time.

I originally bought a plastic version of this to replace the all metal one that came with my mixer. I loved it. Having the rubber edges was a big improvement as it actually touches/scrapes the edges of the bowl whereas the original didn’t. Sadly, after a couple of years the plastic one broke. I would have been happy to just replace it but then I saw this one. All metal with the rubber scraper feature! So far it’s amazing. I’m so glad I found this version.
