So how do you decide what food is best for your best friend? The dog food industry is saturated with foods that are absolutely terrible for your dog.Honestly, I am not the biggest fan of Kibble. But the price point is a huge draw...and the fact that I have a 70 pound dog. If I was to feed freeze dried raw I would need to get another job to afford it for my big boy.Anyway, back to the point. This is the BEST kibble you can get at this price point for your dog. The Natures Variety Instinct Raw Boost is great because they toss in little chunks of freeze dried. MY boy literally eats anything. Not picky at all. That being said, what I like about the Raw Boost line is they have soooo many protein options including beef, poultry, and small game. I love this because I started switching his proteins when he was a pup in order to familiarize him to all the options and help prevent allergies!

We got a dog during COVID and started with Instinct Raw Boost because of the high quality ingredients and great reviews. Our dog loved the food and would go out of his way to eat the freeze-dried beef pieces first. But like so many others, we've noticed the quality has gone way, way down. We got a bag that smelled strongly of rotten fish when we opened it and the dog was completely uninterested in eating it. Hoping it was just an anomaly, we bought a second bag - separated by a month - and had the exact same problem. Since the quality change, our dog has not only shown less interest in his food, but his poop has started getting slimy and smells like urine. We're on an overseas assignment where it's hard to find quality dog food and we can't just run out easily to buy a replacement bag or return it to the vendor. I don't know what happened to this company, but something is definitely off-track and I won't be buying from them any more.

Wish they still made in Duck. Other than that, the rabbit, chicken and beef are good. Dogs have been eating this for years. Bring back Duck.

I bought it because it had high reviews on Google for one of the best foods for pregnant dogs and mine is pregnant.Good for digestion and protein. They say shedding too, but with one bag I didn't notice a difference in a week.It's spring so we have A LOT of shedding.. I usually buy 50 lbs bags of their old food.This one is a lot less ,so feeding 3 dogs didn't last long enough to see if it helped there
