Excellent for delivering heat treatment to the traps
I have longstanding neck and shoulders issues that can flare up into headaches. To manage this I have a set of treatments including regular chiropractic visits, yoga, qigong, meditation and specific stretching exercises.I find heat treatment to be a helpful part of that protocol, and this is one of the best devices for delivering it to the needed areas, especially the traps. It does the back of the neck a bit. Heat relieves pains and aches for me, and loosens the muscles a bit - but not as much as stretching, massage or physical manipulation.I would deduct 1/2 star because this is the second one I have bought after the first one packed in two years after purchase (some error message on the controller). I did use it heavily and now they are offering a 3 year warranty. Hopefully this one will last longer. Despite this concern, I bought it again after another heat pad broke and I couldn't find anything that looked better for my needs.Let me compare it with other heat treatments that I have tried:- £5-10 microwave heat pads of various kinds. These require repeated visits to the microwave and thus are less convenient than electric heat pads. Some are scented. It can be fiddly to get even heat and make sure they are not too hot or too cold.- £15 electric neck heat pad from Lidl. This is much cheaper and has a soft and fluffy cover. It does not get as hot and I find it stops working after a certain length of time before needing a break. Not if it is something to do with the heating elements.- £130 UTK neck heat pad. Delivers consistent heat for hours at a high temperature if required. More costly than the options above. Different technology that claims benefits over conventional heat, which is hard for me to assess.- £30-50 FIR heat lamps. These prices are bought from China during work trips. The good ones with the same FIR technology are very expensive here (£200-ish) or on Taobao. I would say the heat treatment is even better from such lamps. It goes deeper into my back and shoulders. However, they do only one area at a time and take up more space - unlikely to be suitable for the office, whereas compared with a heat pad. I have also lightly burned myself with heat lamps so you have to be more careful about distance and wearing thick enough clothing.- hot baths, showers, saunas, steam rooms...

Excellent pain relief for tight neck and shoulders
The media could not be loaded. I bought this product for a sore neck and shoulders, and its really helping. The heat is really comforting as you can preset from 40 degrees to 70 degress and also set the time .I was a little concerned about some of the reviews saying it was too big but find the size great for me and I've quite a slight frame. If I want to focus on the front of my shoulders I just tighten the velcro but most of the time I want the heat on my shoulder blades, so have the fastening quite loose and it sits exactly where I want it to.I would highly recommend this product to anyone with tight neck and shoulder muscles, it has really helped my pain. Added benefit it penetrates further than normal heat pads due to the far infrared and also boosts negative ions which is beneficial for overall health.

Im keeping this due to Far IR (bob and brad)
Im keeping this but dissapointed with lack of features and thought put into this product for 6 times the cost of any other neck/shoulder heat pads.Main reason im keeping this is it produces the most healing and therapeutic type of heat called far infrared which bob and brad on youtube explain why this is far superior for healing than other forms of heat.So even if this one doesnt feel as hot as a microwave one it is doing more good.I find the heat great after it has warmed up for 20 mins on max setting. However i find i need to put a muslin cloth to protect my neck from the burning sensation from the stones.Annoyingly the back bit is even shorter on this model than older versions i saw, the heat only fels intense in certain hotspots and could be way more even.Doesnt feel like it is super consistent as sometimws feels amazing sometimes not.Neck could come up way higher and be more snug and the velcro straps suck they dont even fit each other properly around my body.Over all the fit of the product could be way better with way more hot points giving more coverage. Also a built in thin cloth layer and more weight would be good.Maybe even some beads filling that thay generate heat and make it more all encompassing.Love the far infrared.Could be a way better fit and have way more features and neck coverage and comfort for this extortionate price.I have to constantly push my neck backwards to get any heat and then it is only on key parts of the neck.I want to envelope all my neck deeply in heat including base of the skull and all around sides of neck at same time. However my shoulders keep improving even if it feels bit hit and miss and overpriced. This would be great if there was a battery so it could survive for small bursts cordless too at this price level.

One of the best buys ever!
After decades of chronic pain and headaches, I’ve discovered that the problem stems from tightness in muscles at the base of my skull and in my neck and shoulders. I followed instructions on a YouTube channel showing how to release tension in those muscles and was able to reduce and control the pain in a matter of days by doing the exercises regularly. The exercises are deep so I use the infra red heat in the collar to soothe and repair the tissue.I initially wore the collar every night before sleep for 45mins, I now use it it every other night and sometimes in the daytime.I’m 5’11” slim UK size 12-14. The collar fits comfortably on my shoulders and neck and feels fantastic in use.

Impossible
I personally found this impossible to wrap around my neck and shoulders comfortably. Have used for my feet instead. Its a shame as if it moulded it would be great. The back belt is great though.

Good for muscle pain
A bit cumbersome to place over your shoulders, but works well for muscle pain.
