A child's need for mothering is met.
Well-written enjoyable easy read. Mac and Holly remember that passionate kiss back in high school years ago before they headed off in different directions. And like a class reunion, it reminded me of what it would be like to go back. What might their meeting again unexpectedly mean for them? I could smell the coffee brewing as friends and family gathered in Holly's small town coffee shop. The cookies and coffee flowed freely and drove me crazy with cravings, wanting to head to the nearest Starbucks to savor the ambience. I appreciated that a child's need for mothering and the love of horses helped to mend hurting hearts. Reading this felt like watching a Hallmark movie. If you like the kind of story where everything goes well and only happy endings need apply, this book is for you. The Strongest Bond: A Memoir

This is a good story with many twists and turns that keeps you reading. The characters were complex and likeable.

The Perfect Mom is a lovely will-they/won’t they story
Wanted: The Perfect Mom is a lovely will-they/won’t they story. Just what you need for a relaxing summer’s day, or wrapped in a blanket in front of the fire. T.R. McClure has a special talent for bringing the little details alive, making it a cozier-than-cozy read.

Delightful!
I enjoyed this book. The characters were fun to spend time with, and the strong and positive family relationships were very comfortable. I was sorry to see the story end.

A good first book for an author perhaps, but not such a great read.
Honestly, not one of the best category type romances I have ever read. Lots of writers do this very well - Debbie Macomber, Nora Roberts (!!), Raeanne Thayne, Brenda Novak - to name just a few of the elite ones. This was unfortunately not on that level.I found the characters pretty one dimensional - Mac and Holly just weren't developed enough for their motivations to be clear, so it almost seemed like oh, let's throw in another little bit of conflict to keep them apart just a bit longer - so at times it seemed very forced and was a bit of a throwback to when romances routinely did this kind of thing. There were also a few parts that made no sense - **SPOILER ALERT** - she doesn't like him for something he did way back in school, which is a good motivation, yet at some point after that bullying and prior to this story starting, they had shared a great kiss, and yet she still went back to disliking him again for the bullying. That just plain didn't make sense. Nor did how she had been in town for months, but was unaware of so many things that had occurred in this seemingly small town, I mean, did she not talk to her family at all, who would no doubt have told her about all the goings on etc. I know my family tells me stuff, whether I want to hear it or not, and I don't even live close enough to them to even know half the people they tell me about. All in all, since I know this is a first book, I'd give this a 3 star review because there was definitely some promise there - but the characters need to be more real, and sometimes they didn't.Plus, the editor should have put a lid on all the naming of people in the town and what they did - SHOW don't TELL - it's the first lesson in writing of any kind. And lastly, books set in small towns usually are rich in visual description, so much so that they make you wish you lived there, but for this book I didn't really know where it was supposed to be set (presumably PA), the town wasn't really revealed in any colorful details, it could have been anywhere. The premise of this book and the blurb sounded great, but the storyline wasn't quite there for me.

Sweet
I really enjoyed this story of two people who are trying to make new starts in their lives. They have to learn to let go of the bad parts of the past and keep the good. Loved little Riley and the horses.
