Work very well.
These are light weight and don’t drop the oil’s temperature. These are perfect for the home user. I used a 3 quart pot. and 4 of these are great for timing. Cook 1 at a time with oil deep so to cook with just a single flip. By the time 3 cook, the fourth is cool enough to remove the rack.

Didn’t work
Used home made soft corn tortillas. This shell mold was too small so they tore at the bottom.Remember to worm up the tortilla in the microwave before tying to wrap…even doing that they cracked before cooking.I ended up buying and using the all wire taco mold and it worked much better as it makes a wider shell.

Work Great
They work great for making hard shell tacos. No more breaking the shells to get the meat inside.

Decent some flaws.
It does matter what kind of corn tortilla brand you use. Milagro Or Providencia - Hispanic store or Walmart bread section. They have the best flavor and I fry a few min and they work just like I was expecting. Yes the center for stuffing is smaller, but not any smaller than what you get at an authentic restaurant hard shells. The Walmart hard shells they have a more “bounced” opening than fresh ones without the preservatives that’s probably the reason for the breaking. The main issue I have is the clip gets soooo hot that it takes one forever to make more than two at a time. Maybe get some fire resistant gloves? Then pull the clip off. If not you can try to fry two and you have to wait for the metal t cool down. It’s time consuming. So maybe add more clips or an option to buy more clips to get the job none quickly.

Right idea, badly designed.
There's not enough punctures in the metal of the product, leaving the cooking uneven and inconsistent, leaving chewy parts and crispy parts. Not a great product.
