Great Theme, Great Writing
Fantastic anthology. The standouts for me were Henry Vogel's piece, Marina Fontaine's prequel to her wonderful novel Chasing Freedom, and Brad Torgersen's touching story about ensuring a military family received a long lost letter from a serviceman. The writing across the board was great, and the theme of freedom made me feel good at the end of the day, even in the pieces about resisting tyranny. Well done!

Blazing with talent
This anthology, though a common theme, celebrates a vital aspect of the human spirit: indomitability. These stories, ranging from period pieces and dystopia to science fiction, evoke emotions both disturbing and poignant. You will encounter the occasional incidence of hilarity as well. Throughout, the writing is excellent and free of snags in its entirety, earning an easy five stars. You will enjoy each, and more so in the realization you are not alone.

They Risked Everything
Enjoyed the entire book. My favorite was "Sara". Even when living in restrictive times, people found ways to connect and find pleasure in their existence. I enjoyed the characters coming alive. They risked everything to feel they were more than just a number. While our present-day circumstances are different, we still want to matter.

I was pleasantly surprised two stories in. The talent packed into this book speaks for itself and the stories made me laugh, made me think and even made me cry. I just ordered the paperback to not only add to my library but to aid in a worthy cause.Well done!

Interesting
Unique take on ideas. I think my favorite story was Chthulu arguing for eminent domain. Must read book for intelligent people.
