LICHIFIT5 Key Gaming Keyboard Programming Macro keypad with Data Cable Mechanical Keyboard for SayoDevice

I wanted a keypad where the macro are stored on the hardware due to my work's computer restrictions, and this did the job.The program required to edit macros was not mentioned anywhere in the box, but just Google the name on the box and you'll find the program to download.Unfortunately, macros can not be pressed once and loop on themselves until turn off but for this price I'm not complaining.Made my work so much quicker and easier, so overall I am happy with this bit of kit.

My work involves quite a lot of copy/paste and I this little keyboard does that for me with one click instead of having to press 2 keys to do the same job.

1. You are going to need a PC to set this up first...(slight con but if you can get past this it works)2. You need to use Edge or Chrome as your browser3. Go to sayodevice.com and accept the browsers translation service4. Top left purple button - select device from dropdown menu5. You should now see the onscreen set up of the five buttons - just click Save in the top right of the screen as default my keys were set up to 12345.6. Now you can unplug from the PC and plug it into your Mac7. Repeat stages 2,3&48. Settings auto opened Privacy & Security asking to allow Edge access to keystrokes which you need to do to program it but dont forget to turn this off afterwards.9. Notice came up to restart Edge - do this and repeat stages 2,3&410. You should now have the 5 keys to program11. Select the key you want to program and then use the drop down menus on the rightHope this helps save you some time as this took me longer than I'd like to admitPS. other things I learnt...I just used the default setting as I wanted basic stuff (copy, paste, undo, group, ungroup) and default was fine.You can select more than one modifier in the dropdown (eg ctrl & shift)Cmd button is referred to as "GUI win"Good luck xx

This is a good keypad, but it doesn't do macros which is why I purchased this in the first place.You can bind keys to a button and you can bind sentences to a button, but if you want to save macros that will do a series of keypresses / mouse movements at the touch of a button then don't get this. I ended up getting "LICHIFIT 8 Keys Keyboard" which DOES allow macros and was perfect for my needs.Another plus with this product is that you don't need to install anything on the computer you are going to be using this with. And as the bindings get saved to the device you can just plug and play with any computer.I won't be returning as I have some other uses cases for this pad, but overall disappointing that it doesn't do macros. The description of the product is inaccurate.

We need better software for this product Sayo CLI doesnt do macros properly. So if you want to setup an auto spamming key cant do it with this software. The reason I bought this device was the software I saw linked to Sayo Devices had this macro option but I cannot find this other sayo program anywhere on the web .

Switches and keycaps feel nice, it comes with some red-style switch. To my surprise, I was able to remove the switches and put in my own and they worked without issue. The keys can be remapped on their sayodevice website, no software download is needed. The website is in Chinese, but any modern browser should automatically translate the website for you. It's very simple and easy to understand with a bunch of options for macros, shortcuts, and for setting F13-F20 keys for having dedicated buttons. All is saved to the on-board memory, so it just needs to be set up once and its good forever.

no software included but the manual came with the keyboard provided the website sayodevice.com, used Edge browser was able to log on. Follow the prompts to connect to the keypad and programed the it. Connects using Micro USB cable. I have no issues with this keypad.

Unfortunately I am not able to program special greek symbols on this keyboard. I am an engineer and wanted to set the most common symbols I use daily for they keys. I was unable to find a way around this. I tried setting them as a password, tried programming in the ALT codes. Nothing seemed to work.Other than that, it was pretty easy to program and seems like its built well. I will be sending mine back as its of no use to me anymore.

Software setup permits LEDs but no such occur . Works fine otherwise .

Had to find programming software, used whatever someone else suggested in the comments. It wasn't difficult. I'm using it for Fanuc's RoboGuide software to remap the F-Keys 1-5. You'll only understand why if you've used the software. I hate stretching to use the F-Keys and you use them all the time in RoboGuide.
