SmartMaxRoboflex Magnetic Discovery Building Set for Ages 3+

They are very like them as a gift.

We purchased another brand of magnetic buildable robots from Amazon for my son’s 3rd birthday and were disappointed in the quality. I returned to Amazon to find another brand and came across SmartMax’s. We had never purchased anything from this line before and we are so pleased…. so is my son! The quality is great and there are endless possibilities. My son is entertained for hours. We should have purchased the plus version.My only wish is that the magnets were a bit stronger. When my son finishes his build he wants to play with it like an action figure but many of the combinations are not sturdy enough and fall apart.Still worth it though!

We love SmartMax but this set is not strong enough for the robot pieces to stick, stay, and stand together making it hard to create the robots pictured.

My 3 year old is OBSESSED with robots. I bought this set as a Christmas gift for him. He loves the set, and the different pieces are really fun and provide a lot of opportunity for creativity. However, it's really hard for the pieces to stay together once your robot is built. We used the included poster to create some robots and once complete they often wouldn't stay up or inevitably one of the pieces would fall off. The magnets are strong, but not strong enough to hold the pieces together for some of the created robots. My son still loves playing with them and creating his own robots.

This is cute but the amount that comes with a kit for the price is a rip off. I have two kids so I needed another set, which made this very expensive product. They should include a normal amount of pieces in a kit, very disappointing.

The magnets are not strong enough so the robots simply won’t stay together. Only certain pieces will work together and it can be frustrating to use.
