I'm reading this book for my Master's thesis and I must say it is a gold mine! The book covers all aspects of the book market (concentration, distribution, rise of the digital business, etc.)

Needs updating every year but only because it is so good.

Clear, highly informative, well written, what else ? Just the perfect read if you want to grasp the specificities and transformations of the publishing industry.

Think this is a very good read for anyone considering writing fiction. It is a little dated, but even if it were published last month it would still be dated within a year. This book is particularly helpful for a potential author to understand the role of literary agents and how the publishing industry is evolving.
