Much improved performance
I bought these to use with Venom Beadlock Switch Back 1:10 Scale 2.2 Creeper Rock Crawler Tires & Inserts. These are large tires, over 5" diameter. I have 2 sets of these tires; one with stock foam and now one with this foam. The stock foam is great as it's very soft and makes climbing effortless. However, side hill, the sidewalls would roll/flex almost to the rim and my crawler would usually roll. My second set has these foam inserts. Now I can make U turns on steep hills without rolling. Amazing side hill performance now that my sidewalls don't collapse. I did give up a tiny bit of performance on hill climbing, but much less than I gained with the side hill performance improvement. I'll keep the stock set for running sand and loose conditions and these for steep when I am likely to roll.If you have side hill issues crawling, get this stuff! Now, on to the hard part; installation. Here's the trick; remove the white foam from the blue. The white foam is just stretched to fit over the blue. fold into a Z shape and place the white foam into your tire. Work until it's settled into place. Now install the inner blue foam. Don't be shy, you'll have to stretch the bejezus out of the bead to get it in there and as you work it around the rim. Make sure you are running wide wheels. I run on the front wheels RPM Revolver 2.2 Wide Wheelbase Wheels, Black, found here on Amazon for $9.42 A PAIR! These are plastic and glue on, with with this 2 stage foam, you won't need to glue them. Trust me. These wheels have offset that allows for the suspension and steering clearance needed. Use the 12MM hexes that come with the wheels. On the rear I got a set of RCLIONS 2.2 inch Aluminum RC Beadlock Wheels Rims for 1/10th Rock Crawler RC Car Axial Wraith 90018 -Pack of 4pcs for $32. These are aluminum beadlocks and work most excellent with the Viper tires, which have an unusual bead on them. Their offset is very deep, opposite from the front deep dish wheels. This results in a substantial offset between the front wheel track and the rear, allowing the rear tires to bite fresh dirt, not the spinout from the front tires.I said install was hard, actually it wasn't. Once I saw a video how, and that I could be quite rough with both the foam and the tires, I horsed all 4 on in maybe 30 minutes or so.Also, I run 4 ounces of 1/4" pencil lead that comes in 48" lengths found here on Amazon for front tires, and 2 ounces in the rear tires. That's 2 wraps of lead on the front wheel, one wrap on the rear wheels. The front wheel comes in at 10 ounces each once mounted and ready to roll. The rear is 9 ounces since the front is a plastic wheel and the rear is aluminum bead lock.

Probably made for XL tires only, very hard when in standard sized 2.2s for my TRX4 Hightrail
They look great and of high quality, however when paired with a set of 2.2 beadlocks and some Pro-Line Racing 1166-14 Interco TSL SX Super Swamper 2.2" G8 Rock Terrain Truck Tires they really had to be stuffed in there. I chose these tires because they were close to stock for my TRX4 High Trail, but I think I will unmount them and go with the foams that came in those tires. The dual stage foams dont have any squish to them at all, I bet with XL they would feel a lot more supple. Giving them a 4 star for quality and their other products, but be aware if you are trying to use them with non XL tires there may be better options.

Cheap dual stage foam
These are good to start out but I think spending the extra money and getting something like pro-line dual stage foam will give you better performance for crawler rigs
