Colourful fun available with this Bluetooth enabled fibre optic light. So far I have used it for illuminating behind glasses stored in shelves in my home bar. I plan to get more creative and mount the fibres in a pattern in a piece of wood to spell out the bar name, haven’t had time to do that yet. The fibre follicles are pretty pliable and will give a small radius bend without folding. Lots of colour options within the app, I chose a pattern that cycles round the available colours and I found that the light would run this after a power off and on cycle without me having to set it in the app each time which is helpful because I knew this device wasn’t WiFi enabled when I ordered it, I have used a smart switch to control it for power on and off. It doesn’t come with a remote control, you need to use the phone app on Bluetooth. I included a picture of the app I used from the Apple App Store, it wasn’t totally clear to me which app to use, the suppprt team advised me that the bar code on the Amazon details gets you there. I gave it 4 stars because it does what it says it will, it seems of good quality, too early to comment on longevity. To get 5 stars for me it would need to be WiFi enabled at that price.

Broken only worked first 3 times now the box won't power on very disappointing

Size Name: Car Used Fibre Optic Lights These arrived simply packaged and inside the box you get the Lighting Unit, Fibre Optic Unit, Car Lighter Adapter, Hard Wire Adapter, and Instructions. To operation the functionality of these light you do not to download an App from the Play Store of App Store depending on your device. Downloading the App and setting the light up is really simple, as all you need to do is screw to fibre optic part into the lighting unit, plug into the power source, pair with the App via Bluetooth and you are away. It is going to be the installation of the 200 fibre optic strands that is going to take the time to do. If you have ever seen the inside roof of a very famous luxury car brand, you can see how effective these can be in creating a starlight effect inside a car. You can basically create any shape, pattern, design you like, with almost any material and create the tiny holes for the optical cable to go through to create the effect. Once done, the app then gives you access to eight main sections: Colour, Warm, Function, Music, Custom, Disco, Camera, and Scene. 1. Colour – access to 16M colours + RGB +6 x DIY + Brightness + Timer + On/Off 2. Warm – Warm White + 6 x DIY + Timer + On/Off 3. Functions – Fade, Gradual Change & Strobe + Speed +Time + On/Off 4. Music – Select Track from Device + Select Mode (Rock, normal, Jazz, Classical) + Next/Previous Track + Timer + On/Off 5. Custom – Create up to 12 Customer Gradual, Jumping or Strobe Modes + Speed Setting 6. Disco – Sync to External Sound + On/Off 7. Camara – Use devices camera to choose a colour and lights set to that colour e.g., cars external paint colour + Timer + On/Off 8. Scene – Coral, Dusk, Sleep or Choose from photo on device + Timer + On/Off There is so much variety in the App, that I do not think I would ever get bored with it. I particularly like the idea of using my phones camera to choose the colour of the lights. It is not just the tips of the cable that lights up but the end length of it, which give you more options to play with. These would be great for gaming, home cinema, around the trim in cars, kids bedroom,etc. The only thing I cannot comment on here is the medium to long-term reliability and I could not find anything on how, long the warranty is on them. I would say that the photos don’t do this justice and it is actually a well made piece of kit, and solidly built. You might mistake the lamp housing for being plastic, but it is metal. The kit arrived in a no frills box, including 12 Volt adaptors for a car cigarette lighter socket, and for connection into a 12 Volt battery. No mains adaptor included, though I was able to use one I already had to demonstrate the functionality. The setup is really straight forward and you need to download the app, in my case from App Store. You then simply make sure Bluetooth is enabled and turn on the power to the LED fibre, open the App to connect within 1 minute of powering on. The App is great and you can choose from so many colours, choose from presets, sync to music, capture a colour with your camera and more. The difficulty will come with installing the 200 fibres into a ceiling which will take a great deal of patience. I luckily do, but I can imagine lots of people giving up at the thought of drilling holes, cutting to length and fixing in position x 200 strands of 0.75mm 2 metre length fibres. I think this kit is fantastic and can’t wait to get it installed in the nursery.

Anfangs war ich ganz optimistisch da es solide wirkte. Ausprobiert und installiert, dann musste ich feststellen das der Motor im Gerät so arg laut ist das man Ihn aus der andere Seite des Raumes hören kann. Ich kann dieses Produkt absolut nicht empfehlen. Da es schon verbaut ist eine Reklamation unmöglich. Würde es nicht wieder kaufen! Update: Der Verkäufer hat mich kurz nach meiner Bewertung kontaktiert und bat mir eine vollständige Erstattung an der ich zustimmen sollte. Als ich zugestimmt habe fing der Verkäufer an mich nach privaten Daten zu fragen um mir ein Ersatz Gerät zu zusenden. Da ich das Gerät schon verbaut haben und es nicht zerstörungsfrei wieder ausbauen konnte, machte das für mich keinen Sinn. Dies teilte ich dem Verkäufer mit, darauf reagierte er gar nicht und bot mir nach übermitteln meiner Daten immer wieder ein neues Gerät an. Diese gab ich natürlich nicht raus. Sehr unseriös!!

Ho acquistato il GIDEALED Smart RGBW LED con doppia porta principalmente per completare un impianto di cielo stellato già in fase di installazione, e devo dire che nel complesso il prodotto funziona bene e fa esattamente quello che promette. L’effetto luce è gradevole, i colori risultano brillanti e il controllo tramite app Bluetooth è piuttosto intuitivo, anche se non velocissimo nella risposta. Il telecomando RF incluso è comodo, ha una buona portata e permette di cambiare colore, modalità ed effetti luminosi in modo semplice. Il dispositivo dispone di due uscite per fibra ottica, quindi è perfetto per gestire due zone o per collegare un numero maggiore di fibre in modo ordinato. La luminosità dei LED interni è buona e la resa complessiva crea un effetto piacevole, sia per un soffitto a cielo stellato sia per usi decorativi in ambienti come sale home cinema o camere da letto. Inoltre, l’alimentatore integrato è silenzioso e il sistema di raffreddamento non genera rumori fastidiosi. Detto questo, il vero punto debole di questo prodotto è il prezzo, che reputo davvero eccessivo. L’ho acquistato perché avevo urgenza di completare l’impianto e non potevo attendere i tempi di consegna più lunghi di altri fornitori, ma devo dire che, con un po’ di ricerca, lo stesso identico modello si trova facilmente a meno della metà del prezzo. È letteralmente lo stesso prodotto, con lo stesso controller, la stessa potenza e gli stessi accessori, solo venduto da altri rivenditori a un prezzo molto più competitivo. Per questo motivo, pur riconoscendo la buona qualità costruttiva e la stabilità del segnale, non posso definire questo acquisto conveniente. È un prodotto valido, ma pagato troppo rispetto al suo reale valore di mercato. Avrei gradito almeno una confezione un po’ più curata o un manuale dettagliato in italiano, invece arriva con istruzioni piuttosto generiche e scritte in inglese. In definitiva, se vi serve urgentemente un driver LED per fibra ottica e volete un effetto RGBW completo, compatibile con app Bluetooth e telecomando RF, questo GIDEALED Smart farà il suo lavoro senza problemi. Tuttavia, se non avete fretta, vi consiglio di confrontare i prezzi perché il medesimo dispositivo si trova davvero a molto meno. Un buon prodotto nel funzionamento, ma rapporto qualità-prezzo decisamente sfavorevole.
