I wouldn't buy anything else!
It was my first time cloth diapering and I purchased all Thristies products after doing a lot of research. My son is now 13 months old and still using them all. I have had zero problems. Their products are made in the USA and the quality is excellent. I do nothing "special" to clean them and after over a years worth of wearing I have zero stains on my diapers and have never had to strip them once. I should also mention that my son has NEVER had a single diaper rash!!! They are great. All of Thirsties products are easy to use and I will be using these same diapers and covers on my second baby! They still look brand new! I ordered the prefolds in size one and two, the covers in size one and two, 2 large wet bags, two small wet bags, and a handful of the hemp inserts which I add in at night for extra dryness so my son sleeps through the night. Each item was worth every penny and I didn't waist money trying a million diapers from a million different companies. I trusted my gut after doing the research, went with Thirsties, and haven't regretted it a bit. Love, love, love this company. I should also say that Thirsties prefolds dry in ONE dryer cycle which is a huge deal. With an all-in-one or other styles where the diaper is sewn in, you are looking at multiple dryer cycles to get them dry. I simply hang my covers over the line and they air dry in about the time it takes the prefolds to dry in the dryer. Thy dry quickly! You can check out the unique design of their prefolds too, which helps them get cleaner in the washer and dry faster in the dryer. I paired their hemp prefolds with the SNAP covers and this system has been really easy for myself, and surprisingly my husband has commented many times on how easy they are. Thirsties will also tell you on their website that there is no need to purchase or use snappi's with their diaper system which is great. My son was 8 lb 15 oz at birth and the size one fit him fine and says it can fit as small as a 6 lb newborn. With their adjustable sizing I spent NO money on "newborn" diapers. I give the double gusset design all the credit for the fact that in the 13 months my son has been in diapers he has NEVER...yes, literally never, had a blowout that came out of the cover onto his clothes. As far as wet leaks, when he grew and it was my turn to adjust the rise and waist to fit his growing body, I had a couple leaks when I was trying to figure out which snap would work best at his new size. Along that journey I had a couple wet leaks at night as I was figuring out a good fit but as soon as I discovered the right fit, no leaks. My son transitioned seamlessly from size 1 to size 2 EXACTLY when they said he would (at 19 lbs) and has a great fit since birth due to the fact that there are so many different ways to snap Thirsties covers. (as a side note, if you buy the covers I prefer the snaps rather than the Velcro. Velcro eventually would wear out where snaps do not) Also, if you are purchasing these for an upcoming baby but they are not here yet, wait as long as possible to purchase them because Thirsties 6 month warranty starts from the purchase date (so if you purchase them when you are only a few months pregnant the warranty will be expired before the diaper ever hits your baby's bum!)There are many other diapers out there that will cost you a whole lot more than this company charges. This is a great product at an affordable price.

First time mom. First time cloth diapering and loved it!!
We originally bought these cloth diapers for our daughter born in October 2012. We were overwhelmed with all the cloth diapers available today! What made us decide to get these were the relatively good reviews online and the fact that they’re made in the USA (my husband and I really try to buy American made products). After using this brand for 16 months I would recommend it to anyone thinking of cloth diapering. Here is my overall take on them.Pros:The snaps are easy to snap on and off (which helps when your little one starts to squirm during a diaper change)The material is durable. These size ones lasted our daughter 14 months! Aside for normal dirt discoloration the material itself held very well for all those months and the snaps themselves held well against tension.Very limited blowouts! We use the osocozy cloth diapers. At night we could double diaper the baby and the thirsties shells could handle the double diaper. When the baby slept through the night the thirsties could (and still does) keep her dry 99% of the time. There have been times in the morning where her diaper is soaked and the inside of the shell may be damp but the outside (and more importantly her sheets) are completely dry. I know there are some people that might say they leak. The times that urine leaks out of the diaper and onto the baby's clothes is really when we leave her in one for too long. I really do feel the type of cloth diaper you buy has more to do with controlling leaks then anything else. With that said I liked the thirsties because we could buy a different brand of cloth diaper and not have to commit to the one brand. The snaps are durable and have lasted. We were afraid to get Velcro because of the wear and tear on them but afraid the snaps would not ‘snap’ well over time, but they really do snap just as good now as the day we bought them. Even better, now that our daughter is aware of her diaper she still has not really been able to take her diaper off (if put on correctly) no matter how hard she tries to take it off. They look good running around in just a diaper. Ok this ones a little off topic, but the shells have cute designs and cute colors that when I have the baby running around the house in just her diaper and people come over I don’t get embarrassed or feel bad because most people think she is wearing a cute speedo bottom type thing and I have to tell them it’s actually her diaper. We also never bought her fabric diaper covers when she was a newborn. When she had a dress on it was easy to get a shell that matched the dress and just move on.Cons:Sizing is a bit tricky. When my daughter was born they were too big and it took her a while to fit into them better. Size one says it is intended for 0-9 months but as I said before my daughter was in them for about 14 months. We just recently started trying to transition her to size 2 and now we are back to the original problem. Just a little too big for her right now which causes a few more leaks and poop coming out of her cloth and onto the inside of the shell (but still limited on the actual blowouts).Bubble butt. It may have been the actual cloth diaper we were putting on her but the baby would gets a bubble butt with her diapers. It doesn’t hinder her ability to move around and it didn’t inhibit her ability to crawl or walk the only time it was a negative was when she would wear certain clothes. Some clothes are not designed for the extra cushion on the baby’s bottom and it would be hard to get some pants over her butt. Overall though just a minor hindrance as all you need to do is buy a size up of clothing but it just got a little tricky at times trying to get clothes that would go over her diaper but weren’t too long that they sagged at the legs. The side snaps on the diaper. I still do not fully know how they are intended for, to be honest. We though it was to make a better fit for smaller babies but any time we tried to snap the sides down (that snaps parallel to where the thighs are) it seemed to make a bigger mess and just didn’t fit right because then the top of the diaper would just be too bulky.Overall I would I highly recommend this diaper to anyone new to cloth diapering. It is easy and versatile (as stated earlier the cloth we use, ozocosy, is not a thirsties product). It holds in your babies messes and makes them look cute all in one. More importantly it is made in the USA!P.S. – On a side note… We used the thirsties shell with a ozocosy fabric diaper (cheapest we could find) when we first started we would just put the cloth on the baby as instructed and then have the shell hold the diaper in place. I recently took a gamble and saw these Snappi Cloth diaper fasteners on amazon and decided to buy some. Best decision ever! It is essentially like putting pins on the baby’s diaper to hold it in place but in a much safer way. Just thought I would recommend it to anyone who is interested.

Great diaper cover, but sizing not quite accurate
Just as others report, the smaller size cover that is supposed to be for babies up to 9mo/18 lbs is not quite true. This is especially true if you are using a cloth diaper folded as a diaper underneath. If you are using a very this insert, it might go up to 18 lbs, but I doubt it. My baby boy is 3.5 months old and average height/weight for a boy at about 14lbs and he will surely out grow the smaller size soon. I ordered the bigger size last week. I like this cover a lot for the little ones--it is less bulky and fits better than a one-size diaper because it is smaller, obviously. Snaps are awesome, but since you'll use this diaper for a shorter time, velcro is very handy to get an exact fit around the waste and should last longer than your little one fits into it! I had the snaps, but if I knew what I know now, I would have ordered velcro in the smaller size and snaps for the bigger size. The thing is, this is a great cover: snaps are strong, it dries very quickly and wipes clean for multiple uses before the wash, it has double leg elastic to keep all messes contained, it is less bulky than some other brands I use and cost effective. To make the most of your money, I recommend getting one or two of these in the smaller size and getting a couple one-size diapers like rumparooz, flips, etc. that you can use the entire time, and when baby is too big for the small size, ordering a couple more bigger sizes of the thirsties. I find that 4 covers and 15-20 cloth diapers (and I have a few all-in-one pocket diapers in rotation as well because my husband likes those better) are all I really need to do the wash every 2-3 days. I love using cloth diapers and covers! This is my favorite cover and I love the lime green color.

Small sizing, overall good product
Great that this pattern does not have white gussets which many other patterns do (they stain).Sizes fit small.

Not as bright in real life
I was disappointed when the cover arrived because the colours were much more subdued in person. It doesn’t affect the function of the cover but it was a bummer.

These are the best covers we've used
These are the best covers we've used! Nothing has leaked out of them ever, and they seem comfortable on my baby. The sizing seems to run a little small, so we found that even though my baby is on the lean side, we went to size two before he outgrew the weight range.

Works ok but I got covers that are better in quality and more affordable
Works ok but I got covers that are better in quality and more affordable. The material is thin and stiff, not as soft as the Rumparooz or KaWaii covers. Also, I find that it unsnaps easily when pulled slightly especially the snaps on the rise. I expected it to be better because of the price and other reviews. But compared to the more affordable KaWaii and Rumparooz covers, the Thirstily covers are disappointing.
