AMTECO DIVISION OF GEMINI INDUSTRIETWP-1500-1 Gallon Clear VOC Stain

I used this product on my redwood deck and it didn't last long. I let the new deck dry out for a couple of months before sealing it with this product. About 6 months later the deck was not looking good at all. I'm not sure if it is the intense UV rays here in Colorado, but I'm certainly not as impressed as some others are with this product.I've since resealed the deck with Sikkens (PPG Proluxe now) and that has held up much better.

I was sold TWP 300 series stain, which was an excellent product. After running out of the 300 series I tried to buy more and could not find it any where online or otherwise. I bought the TWP 1500 series and it was inferior to the 300 TWP stain. I had to wait (2) weeks to get the TWP 300 series. I would recommend anybody buying stain to try the 300 series TWP (clear) if you want a clear enhanced stain that highlights the wood grain.

Covers well and is keeping the original color in the cedar longer than expected. We didn't want the weathered cedar look (grey). Love the new wood look and it seems to be holding it well.

The clear doesn't maintain the natural wood color to allow for graying. Everywhere online that I have been able to find, even on the can itself states that it will maintain the natural wood color. However when I got the can, there was a sticker that states there is no ultraviolet blockers to allow for graying. I contacted TWP and they stated that was true and it would allow for graying.Careful to can't return this item.

I always get TWP for my decks. It doesn’t leave a build up and protects the wood well.

TWP is the best oil for outdoor wood that I've found. It was shipped and packaged in a proper container.
