Great bike for the price already part assembled
This mountain bike arrived well packaged in a large box ready for assembly. Inside were all of the components together with a couple of tools and some instructions. The frame, forks, etc. were all wrapped in cardboard to protect them although there was a scratch on the left front fork. After a quick read through of the instructions, I cut all the zip ties holding everything together and started assembling the bike. The whole assembly took about 45 minutes. I have put a couple of bikes together before but am no professional. I think most people that are practical and do some DIY could do this, otherwise it's probably best to get somebody like that to do it for you. I then checked the gears and both the front and rear derailleurs needed some adjustment to get them to change gear properly, particularly the front one which was not changing very well at all. Once I had got the brakes and gears sorted I inflated the tyres and set off for a test ride. For a budget bike I was pleasantly surprised,. It rides quite well, the gear changes are not the smoothest but are fine and the brakes stop well. The seat is on the thin side and gets quite uncomfortable after a little while so I'll probably change that. I will also add some mudguards as I'm not keen on getting mud all up my back. For this price you wouldn't expect a high end bike, but for a cheap and cheerful basic run around, this is a decent bike.A decent set of gear shifters. The frame is relatively light and the welds look not bad. It is not a high end material frame, but more than enough for someone who just need a cheap bike. Overall you are getting what you pay for, so don't expect anything high end for downhill usage, but for getting out and keeping fit, this is spot on.

Basic bike for basic money
Bikes can cost a huge amount of money, this one doesn't at just £170 so that is something I'm thinking about when writing this review. This is just a 6 speed bike, not 18 like a lot of them are, so if using on road you might find yourself topping out the ratio and not being able to get any more speed, however this bike is meant to be used for non road purposes where you wouldn't really be hitting those speeds.Colour is nice, I like the red and the seat is pretty comfortable - you can always swap that out for a preferred shape etc which is generally what most people do.Happy to recommend this as a basic second bike or entry level one for someone new to the hobby. 4 stars

Nice frame shame about the rest
Ok so this is a nice bike and the build quality seems ok. But the glaring issues are. This is a SIX speed bike not 18 as it claims and the thing arrived with no pedals or instructions. I hope this was just a simple mix up but I can't recommend
