Simply because that was the main thing I was going for is matte black silverware and they are very much stainless steel colored they get one star. These are going to be a gift to someone in need of a set for their apartment and bc of that I won’t be returning but really?? I’ll attach pictures of an array of my kitchen items that are varying shades of blck gray silver plus the stock pic first and you’ll see what I mean. The angle held can show darker but mostly it’s just steel colored. I considered buying a set myself but they’re again, not black at all. On the bright side the finish (bc there is none) likely won’t be wear off like other sets 😅 also the overall weight is nice, the shape a bit cheap looking but not the worst considering the price. On that department w/o eating off them they get 3 stars.

So extremely disappointed in this set!! They claim that it is dishwasher safe. I even purchased 2 sets because of the Seller's description and reviews. I have had these for 2 weeks now.....and this is what my utensils look like!! There isn't even a way to contact the company!

These are gorgeous I bought two sets and it fits my aesthetic perfectly. But you do have to dry them or they’ll get spotty and it’s very noticeable 😅 but again ~*~aesthetic~*~ no basic bees here we gotta put in a little love to romanticize our lives lol I love them regardless they work great while looking beautiful.

I bought this set to match a set that was gifted to me. I love the matte black!! They are very sturdy, making the a great value for the price. Not too heavy and not too light, smooth edges, and no scratches or chipping so far. Highly recommend

I already have black "silverware" but somehow all my forks "ran" away. I ordered these to go with my set.. they're like gun metal.. not black so definitely not like the picture

It's a nice product but it definitely isn't what I would describe as matte black. It's definitely a dark gray.
