I remember buying this album on a double cassette years ago and only up until recently I still played it. Good to have it now on cd and as always ELO never fail to please. All the hits are here in much clearer form than the cassette. Happy days 😀

This was the first CD I ever bought. Got damaged with time so delighted to have found myself able to get a new copy of the same collection.

Ordered my item on a Sunday afternoon and expected it at least 3/4 working days for delivery. However it was delivered next day...fantastic! ! Item described as advertised. First class all round

best of all ELO releases every track is better than another bought this on a whim after hearing jeff lynne's solo witch he is still excellent on the tracks just don't work for me last time i had this album was on tape.

After seeing Jeff Lynn's ELO spectacular performance at this year's Glastonbury Festival (on the telly that is, not whilst wollowing in the mud I hasten to add), I just had to buy a disc of their work. And not being the sort of thing I usually buy, I didn't want to spend loads on the whim of an impulse buy, I trawled both Ebay and Amazon and this double TV promoted album came up from Telstar at a very reasonable price, albeit issued as long ago as 1989, but I think its often best to go back to basics. It still sounds great -- a real 'classic' in fact. Jeff Lynn doesn't hold back when it comes to big productions like this, and to recreate such a sound 'live' must have been a hugely challenging operation (never thought The Beatles would ever pull off performing 'Sgt. Pepper' live after all George Martin's gimmicky electronic bits that he 'enhanced' that particular recording with), but certainly our Jeff did by putting together a whole array of musicians especially for touring as 'new' ELO are doing -- even he admitted to being nervous about it -- and this is 25 years or more after these tracks were first laid down! There's only one title played 'live' here (Roll Over Beethoven) amongst this two dozen track set, and that's just as convincing as it was performed at Glastonbury -- eat your heart out Sir Paul, this is heaps better than your attempt ever was at that particular title. Yes, I really will treasure this album -- all British at its creative best. Recommended!
