Lest We Forget
Very emotional reading and an excellent way to remember the good Germans who defied the Nazis and for us to never forget the horror of the Holocaust !!!!!

Story of a forbidden love.
Easy five stars once again. This book has all the ingredients of the author's other gripping WW2 novels about unforgettable Jewish characters. Detrick is a German who looks the ideal of Nazi manhood. He becomes like a son to a new who runs a bicycle repair business. He meets Jacobs daughter Leah and a forbidden love story begins. The ending is traumatic and moving.

A Good Read
I really enjoyed reading this book although at first I had to make sure it wasn't a children's book as it started off in an extremely simplistic style. The story line was very good and kept me interested throughout. In some places however I found myself skim reading to get through some of the somewhat tedious descriptive passages. The proof reading needed looking at as there were quite a number of errors in terms of wording and grammar. I enjoyed it sufficiently to start reading the sequel. I would recommend it.

A good story
A good story telling of the gradual increase in the persecution of the Jews before and during the Second World War. It was told as a love story of two people of different faiths making it more real than a simple factual account. Only four stars because I found some of the words and phrases used did not seem to convey the intended meaning but this is a minor criticism and would have been prevented by better editing.

Would recommend it
I've had this book way over a year and I was putting off reading ut as o didn't expect much from it. I got it free off amazon and sometimes the free books are a bit shallow and full of spelling mistakes .... but not this one. This is a well edited book that is so gripping. I couldn't put it down once I started it and I admit to crying at the end. Would recommend it
