this is an excellent way to add a strap button to your ax that is non-destructive and non-invasive. it looks great and the materials are high quality. it holds the guitar strap very firmly. as you can see, i used a bit of velcro to snug it up to the headstock of my baritone ukulele. this prevents it from pushing on the strings at the nut. i imagine larger headstocks and 6-stringed instruments will not have this issue, as the strap button is appropriately sized for them. i am very happy with this purchase!

I bought the strap button for my f-style mandolin. The strap I had been using was made for a mandolin but was a little too thick to fit all the way into the scroll. The strap button works perfectly. I can use it with a regular guitar strap and I know it won't damage the finish.

In the best way— these feel home made. This strap holder is a supple and soft leather, with a metal no-sew button stud like you find on denim jeans and jackets . I expect the product will be durable and stand along the more expensive Name brand which has a detachable plastic button.
