Works Perfect
Cheap plastic, but once placed in position under a dresser or bed, you should not be concerned. I have two of these under dressers and you definitely feel the air going across the wood floor, as opposed to just "emanating" from the dresser area. The third one is under my TV cabinet. So nice to feel warm air (so far) heading across the wood floor to the couch, as opposed to heating the tv and electronics. The plastic is very flimsy, easy to assemble and the two built in magnets do their job on metal vents. No vibrations, whistles or rattles noticed.

Air Deflector
So far working well. Our home a 1906 Victorian cottage, so there is furniture over most of the vents. The price was right for 3 in a pack. It also said unbreakable, that was a plus. We had ordered some over the years and one arrived broken, others a very thin plastic. These are a thin plastic, but no breakage yet. Very pleased.

Effective, but could be made a bit better
It is effective. I bought a few of these to put on register vents of a new HVAC install we just had done. There are a few places where we have cabinets, and such over top of the registers. I know the air would work its way out without these, but I wanted to direct it straight into the room were it would be most noticeable and more evenly spread throughout the rooms. They are working great for that. They are very clear and feel like they are thick and somewhat flexible enough that I would not call them brittle at all. The only complaint I have is the magnets. They have magnets on both ends so that they will stick to the metal register covers and hold themselves in place. These magnets are sandwiched between two metal plates. The metal plates have small indentations in them in the middle - one on each plate. The plastic body has a pocket that the metal/magnets sandwich fits into with one little plastic bump sticking out of each side that corresponds to the little dents in the metal plates. When these are all tight, this hold the metal/magnet sandwich in place very nicely. However, a couple of these were very loose and I had a problem with the metal/magnet sandwich sticking to the register cover stringer than the plastic body would hole them, so while positioning the units in place, a few times the metal/magnet sandwiches would come out of the unit and remain stuck on the register cover where they first made contact. Without them in place, the air flow will push the plastic body out of the way, defeating their intended purpose. The metal/magnet sandwiches are loose as well - in other words the magnet is what hold the 3 pieces together. They really could stand to glue the metal piece to the magnet and would probably do well to glue the whole metal/magnet sandwich in place. I will probably do this at some point, but really shouldn't need to if this were a 5 star product. 5 star products don't need further end user engineering.

Works great on vents under a window with curtains
This item works just as expected. The magnets that keep it in place are very strong. Perfect to use on vents that are under a piece of furniture or in my case under a window that has curtains. Keeps the cold air from going up behind the curtains, it directs the cold air out into the room. Great product for the price!

Works great, but best position might be crooked
No issues. A little finicky about positioning the magnets, the best holding position might drive the perfectionists batty (of course if you can see the vent, why do you need this? But since they have to account for every brand and style of vent, I can't see how to do it better. If you want a more permanent mount, you could always just drill a hole for the mounting screw and attach it that way.

Magnets are small and weak, they will not hold it in place
I really wanted these to work, but the magnets are very small, weak and aren't even mounted well (they move around way too much in their mounting). The magnets are way too small and too weak to hold the weight of the plastic in place. I have an older house with solid metal vents, so magnets should work fine. But with these if I manage to position everything just right they might stay up for maybe a minute before it comes crashing down to the floor. It is obvious that no matter what I do these will never hold themselves in place. But since I now have them and need something to work I might just use some glue. But if you're looking to buy some I would not buy these.

Revised review and dropped stars to 2...
These are ok if you're not too fussy about looks.PROS: The air deflectors are made of clear plastic (some scratches-not too bad), price for "3 units" is reasonable and the built in magnets are strong.CONS: My main complaint is the bottom lip of each unit which slides in and out. The slide in plastic tabs are clunky looking (use the magnifier on the main picture to view) and you'll see what I mean. If you want a streamlined, invisible edge these won't give that effect. But if functionality is your only concern I think you'll be happy. Hope this review was helpful.Revised.... I bought a "3-Pack" and wrote this before I opened all 3 packages. My bad! Sadly, 1 deflector is missing a magnet and it's totally unusable. Poor quality control and now I'm very disappointed. I guess you're taking your chances if you purchase these. I wish I hadn't.

Solves the issue of ballooning curtains
Flimsy, but effective. I have put them on vents which are right by a window where curtains would cover the vent. Using this, I can rest the curtain behind the vent without it billowing up like a balloon. The clear plastic is fairly unobtrusive and hard to see. The magnets on it are decent, but occasionally are not strong enough and the unit slips off of the floor vent. In all, a decent buy for a thin piece of plastic with weak magnets.

Absolutely wonderful. I have them fully extended on metal vents ...
Absolutely wonderful. I have them fully extended on metal vents and the hold together well as long as you don't trip over them because they're clear, but the clear is great because they don't stand out like a sore thumb....virtually invisible. Just perfect! Some of the reviews stated the magnets didn't work well, but I have the metal vent covers from the 50's so they hold well probably because there is more actual steel in them.

Excellent product
Strong magnet holds it firmly in place. It directs heat into the room. Clear plastic does not interfere with the decor. It expands to fit size of register.

Doesn't Break! Deflects Air!
We have an older house and this does a good job deflecting the air towards the room. Our vents are all below windows so we found the rooms were not getting hot/cold enough. We have young kids and they stomp on these and hit them by accident all the time and they are still fine. We found that there is not too much air that leaks through the cover where it is not supposed to. It has cooled down our rooms probably 25% quicker. This is not a miracle tool that will solve your issues but it definitely is a cheap way to help. You do need a little bit of clearance so that the air that gets pushed out doesn't hit objects in front of it.

Nothing like getting blown sideways!
Nothing like getting blown sideways!I got these because my gf had cardboard boxes over all of the heat vents. These work much better and are not nearly as noticeable. They seem to be durable as I've kicked a cpl by accedent and they are holding up wonderfully. I would recomend.
