I have one of these that I have been using since 2018 on and off. This is the only lock box I have been able to find to fit my key FOB. It has worked great. Recently came back to recommend to a friend. I saw some reviews about the lock resetting. I had issues with an old master lock and rust build up causing it to freeze up. We eventually got it open but not what you want to happen when you come back from surfing. Some key things for me with using this.1. Wrap your FOB in Aluminum foil. I made a little sleeve for mine. You could also just buy one but the foil has worked great.2. I have a little removable key that pops our of my fob that works for the door only. I used to rely on this but did have it not work on the door once after surfing. Also it seems my new FOB still works even with it removed.I can wear this on a necklace under my wetsuit as a back up. I would at least be able to get in my car if the box didn't open.3. if there is a location on your car that is not that obvious in high risk areas that would be best. My old car had a tie down on the roof that I could attach it to that was incognito. Now I have to use the my door handle. Still looking for a better spot.Either way I have been really happy and way better than risking taking the keys to the beach.

This thing is a tank. Pictures just don't do it justice but wow it is really heavy duty and built well. I don't do reviews normally, but after locking myself out of the house a couple times I wanted peace of mind I could hide a key outside and feel safe about it. This locked right onto a house pipe and the four code makes it more secure than many three digit locks. I was extremely pleased with this purchase.

Amazing product!! I feel very secured leaving my car keys inside it and leaving it on my vehicle. The quality of the metal is very good and really tough to break into it.The only downside, is that it’s really big which attracts attention therefore I suggest to put it on the wheels. Or put something on it...

I bought this to hang off my car when I go surfing as the modern electronic keys can't go in the water. It easily fits my bulky key fob, feels plenty tough, and is easy to use. This was the only key safe I could find on the market that would fit it.

This is a pretty solid box with enough room for my car key and and ID. It’s easy to set your own combination.

This is the second one of these that I purchased that failed in less than a year. I now need a screwdriver to force the lid open after closing the lid - even though it's not locked. Even with a screwdriver, I need to shake it, pound it and pray that it will open. I spent 30 minutes trying to get it off my car and get my key out after an ocean swim. The same exact thing happened to the first lock that I bought. I figured when the first lock failed it was easiest to just buy another one -- but it's happened again. That's $80 (2 x $40) down the drain. Works great -- until you are locked out of your car.

This is the second one I've purchased. This one only lasted two years almost to the date (I purchased from Amazon on Sept. 4th, 2019. Today (Sept. 5th, 2021), this keypod would not open and stranded me at the beach. I do not recommend this product. I only used this twice a week (maximum) so it was only in the elements for about 3 hours a week (around 300 hours of exposure to the elements). It was stored in my car for most of its life. I regularly oiled the tumbler with WD40. The "dials" appeared to spin fine before this happened.

Super strong and tough. I have full confidence on this unit. I put it on my car door handle while I go surfing. I also bought a key fob signal blocker bag and put it inside this safe. The safe I very strong and durable.

Very happy with the price here, used for surfing, festivals, travelling, swimming. Always know my keys are safe in here and feel confident leaving them inside. Not sure if it would keep the rain out? You could also lock up to a fence or similar, or even lock to your bag as a small safe to keep people off your keys and also feels more secure away from the vehicle in some cases.

After purchasing a Master lock previously and watching my son crack it in under a minute, I bought this one to keep our keys safe. My son was unable to get into it. You'd need to smash your way in and if that's what thieves are prepared to do, then they'd just smash their way into the door or through a window. It's sturdy and you can't fiddle with the wheel to guess the code. Overall I'm pretty happy with this and it was worth paying extra for it.

The best one I have tested. This has the nicest locking mechanism, most amount of space and is overall well thought out very well designed product.This is a portable keysafe. Be aware, while there are 10,000 combinations and the mechanism is hard to decode (lock pick), this is more of a temporary solution to a specific need for a key being out in the open but secure, for a while. If you leave this outside your house, someone can come by at 03:00 every day for 5 minutes a day just trying combinations 0000, 0001, 0002 etc until one day they will have the code and have access to your keys or what ever you have inside, at which point assuming you have house keys in there, you are in big trouble. So if you live in a bad area I recommend against using combination locking keysafes or any kind, push button or dial.That said, this is a very secure product for such temporary protective needs. I use keysafes like this in my wardrobe to keep keys together and keep them all in one place so they cannot go walkabout.

I'm always wondering what to do with my keys when surfing (I am regularly paying staff in coffee shops to hold onto them) - this is the answer. Very well made (I looked a number of cheaper versions of this type of lock and they are not as robust as this one). Very easy to use. The combination is easy to set/reset and open, even with cold hands. It is also insurance compatible.
