These have been my go to enzymes for lactose, high fat, and high carbohydrate meals. They reduce the bloating significantly.

These were a game changer for us. My husband and I have struggled with worsening IBS symptoms over the last few of years, but had never tried supplements or medicine because we were determined to cure it with our diet and lifestyle. Our diet became increasingly limited to a handful of fruits and vegetables, we always counted on getting sick when going out to eat or when friends or family would cook for us, and there was no light at the end of the tunnel. We came across these while shopping at a co-op on a road trip we took, and gave them our ultimate first test with a meal full of brussels sprouts, garlic, onions and red pepper, and a dairy-free ice cream dessert. We were a little gassy, but for the first time since we could remember, we were just gassy, and not gut-wrenchingly bloated or limited to the fetal position. We started taking these enzymes about once- or twice-a-day with meals, and within a couple of weeks our diet had expanded to eating everything we used to be able to eat! Now, after finishing the first bottle we bought from the co-op, and getting halfway into this one, there are some days where I don’t even need to take this enzyme at all! I can eat beans now and leave the house without any worries, stomach pain, discomfort, unbuttoned pants, or regrets that day or the next day (or week). We still avoid dairy and corn (because I am allergic), and gluten (because my husband is intolerant), but we truly believe these helped heal our guts, and gave us some of our freedom back when it comes to food - which is a big part of our lives!

I tend to get very bloated when I eat a lot of carbs, especially foods high in gluten or fat. Although I haven’t been tested for gluten intolerance or any other food sensitivities, taking this supplement has definitely helped reduce the uncomfortable bloating.

I’ve used this product for over a year now, and it has hands down been a life-changer! I’ve dealt with severe bloating and gut issues for years, and this has been one of the best aides in letting me eat what I want and not get bloated.

Like most capsules they can stick in your throat. Make sure you drink a lot of water to help them go down. or open the capsule and sprinkle on your food, both ways I have found work well. As we age, we need digestive support and I have found this to be the best to help me with that. I suggest that you give them a try. I have had no side effects. You cannot tell you have taken them except that your food is digesting better, and you feel better in the gut.

I used the original formula of digest gold which worked wonders for digestion/general GI discomfort and bloating after eating. When purchasing them recently on Amazon I’ve taken it a few times now and it has been awful - terrible stomach cramps and bloating. I’m so disappointed because I’ll now need to look for a new digestive enzyme solution after this one worked so well previously. Also, there are no returns/refunds despite the product no longer being the same. If you filter the reviews to “most recent” you’ll see everyone saying the same thing. Please bring back the old formula.
