Tricky to assemble, but worth the effort!
Extremely solid piece of furniture! Took a long time to assemble, but it was worth it! Looks great in the space by our front door and the product is exactly as described. We did have one issue with the screws for the knobs fitting through the cabinet doors. I had to locate new screws that were longer in order to attach the knobs. Even with that minor issue I would recommend this product to others. It’s excellent for the price!

Perfect hall tree, easy to build.
Great Hall tree. This was easy to put together with easy to read and follow instructions. This thing is about 5'7-5'8 tall which is shorter then I was expecting judging by the pic. I feel like this is pretty good quality material, to be built and stay together for quite a long time.Nothing else bad to say. It cam packed super well. Like a puzzle and everything was wrapped in protective material to prevent damage or even scratches to the surface.Would by this again if I ever need another on.

Good piece, not the easiest to build
We had some trouble building this, and we've assembled lots and lots of pieces over the years. The directions were not the best due to the drawings being less clear than would be desired. The parts also didn't always hold together, so we were re-doing certain steps over and over. However, now that's it's built, it seems very sturdy and looks really nice. I'd say it was worth the headache, but I'm not entirely sure why it needed to be a headache.

Gorgeous! Love it!
I love it! It’s the perfect addition to make our living room look a little fancier. I can’t say how hard it was to put together because the husband worked on it but I would say it took about 1.5-2 hours. It is very heavy and does take two people to get it put together. It has an anchor to secure it to the wall. I did search for other similar hall trees and couldn’t find anything as pretty and luxurious as this one. Amazon had the lowest price for this same one.

Charming look
This really changed the look of my living room and I couldn't be happier! The doors down below holds most of my hubbys shoes to keep them out of sight.Super sturdy! Holds more than the weight limit advertised without issue.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The good:Once assembled, it's sturdy and looks pretty good. My wife likes it.The feet are adjustable to level the unit, making it more stable. This was particularly useful in an old house, where the floor and the wall aren't necessarily perpendicular any more. The bad:As several reviewers have noted, the screws which hold the top onto the bottom are insufficient to hold them together and may be installed incorrectly at the factory (glue, anyone?). The screw anchors pull out of the wood with only moderate pressure. Some people have added metal brackets to compensate for this. I added metal supports on the back of the unit. The weak connection between top and bottom will make this heavy piece of furniture difficult to move without taking it apart first. The instructions don't identify how to position those pieces which can be easily reversed. I installed some of my pieces backwards, and once the unit fell apart toward the end of construction, I decided it was best to just keep it that way.The hinges are cheap and the doors barely stay closed thanks to the magnets which were included in the base (common complaint). The unit is much heavier than it needs to be, making it difficult for one person to assemble. In order to line things up, I assembled it laying on its back on a carpeted floor. When it was mostly completed, I naturally had to lift it up to a standing position. This is how I discovered that the screws which hold the top onto the bottom are inadequate. The anchors pulled out of the top, causing the pieces to separate resulting in some damage to the top piece. Since several others have pointed this out, new buyers would be wise to add some additional support before the unit falls apart. The Ugly:Most flat packs I've assembled included covers (wood plugs or paper labels) to hide the joining mechanisms. This unit has none, so everything remains exposed. The "shutter" doors aren't. They're just molded to look that way.Yes, this unit is overpriced given its shortcomings.

Beautiful and practical entryway furniture
Arrived on time, in good shape, and the pieces were solid. I had worried a bit after reading some reviews, but it worked out well. Assembly does take a good bit of time, and the wood screws for the door hinges require the tiniest Phillips head ever, but it's doable. We had tried one reviewer's suggestion to build the top on top of the bottom half, but discovered that idea made putting in some of the wood screws impossible unless you are tiny contortionist. So we followed the directions and all was well. When we move, we'll probably move it in two pieces to help avoid any mishaps. It's beautiful and practical.
