The Best of Chicago's South Side!
One of my favorite albums. This is a group of swinging Chicago South Siders. They all seem to be having a blast. Curtis Prince on drums (one of Chicago's hidden gems) is in excellent shape and keeps everybody moving in the right direction. Brothers Von and George seemed to have been more than ready for this session, too. Too many giants to mention. This album is a sleeper! I doubt if many people will be disappointed with this one.

Fantastic
The entire CD is simply great; anyone who enjoys the B3 and a great bass player would appreciate. The number "Could this be Love" is well worth the price of the CD.

OK I'll go first
Can't believe no one has rated this album yet.George is a fixture of the Chicago jazz scene, and although this is not his first album, it's his first straight jazz album. (Full disclosure: I went to the record release party and have met the band)George has a lyrical guitar style unlike anything I am familiar with. Like they say, it's the notes you don't play. Little surprises like dropping a "tropical heat wave" quote in the middle of "Brazil" keep you smiling.Being a huge organ fan (no jokes, please) I particularly like the Hammond B3 backing on this album. The few vocal tracks don't really seem necessary, but add a bit of variety to the album.
