Stays on as long as it's not on your hands
I have used this product since my husband's spinal fusion surgery 3 years ago and it worked great. Stayed on no problem. I have a fingernail that got injured and is falling off so I figured this would keep out germs and keep it dry like my Dr said to do. It will stay on about 2 hand washings and sometimes 3. I was careful not to rub it and still just falls off. Great for any parts of body except hands.

Excellent Adherence, Easy to Apply, Waterproof
I don't have any tattoos, but I got this Tattoo Aftercare Waterproof Bandage as a generic waterproof bandage to keep with my home medical supplies. Nowhere does it say it's sterile, and it is one big continuous roll instead of smaller individually wrapped dressings, so it's safe to assume that it is clean but not sterile. In addition to its intended purpose in covering fresh tattoos, I would be comfortable applying it as an outer waterproof dressing over an already covered wound or over minor cuts and scrapes that need to be protected from water long enough to take a shower, swim, be out in the rain, etc. I tested this waterproof bandage by cutting a small piece and applying it to my index finger. It is super easy to put on. Just peel off the paper backing as you press the dressing against the skin. Once the dressing is in place, peel off the plastic upper layer, and that leaves just the transparent film adhered to the skin. The transparent dressing stayed on my finger really well, even through repeated hand washings. There was no curling of the edges, and no water whatsoever got under the dressing at any point. At the end of the day when I went to remove the dressing, I had to slide my fingernail under the edge and peel it up, and every single portion of the dressing was still well adhered to my skin as I peeled it off the bandage. It was not so tightly adhered that it pulled off any skin when I removed the dressing, however, which is good. This roll of transparent bandage is 9.84 inches wide and 19.9 yards (59.7 feet) long. It is currently priced at $28.79 (28% off the former price of $39.99), and I feel it is a good value and performs quite well.
