The character development is marvelous and l was swallowed whole by the detailed story.

who knew this could be funny at times and a real eye-opener to other cultures. beautiful prose.

I bought this classic tale for my son’s 9th birthday. I know Moby Dick is an intense read, but since this version was “illustrated,” I thought it would make the story easier to digest. There are 2 pictures and maybe a dozen pages with doodles in the corners. Hardly what I would call illustrated. Oh well. Win some, lose some.

Granddaughter is reading chapters then repeating to me the short version
